Inkulinati is an art history course disguised as 🤪a weird, wonderful roguelite.

If, like me, you're a complete newcomer to Inkulin🐽ati and have been waiting for its full release to dive in, then this gameplay trailer is just what you need to get started in your journey as a Master of the Living Ink. The first thing you'll notice about Inkulinati is its gorgeous art style, which is inspired by doodles made in medieval manuscripts and results in over 50 cheeky creatures like a don♔key playing the trumpet with his bum and hares looking terrified to wield a weapon.

Although the art style and humour instantly make Inkulinati stand out, there's much more to it than just having a laugh. As you'll see in the gameplay trailer, there's a lot of depth to its turn-based strategy gameplay. Each creature in the game has unique skills, such as a snail that can roll forward to deal damage, and it's up to you to build a bestiary and take down anyone who ✅challenges you.

If you're a beginner then don't worry too muꦐch, as Inkulinati comes with a handful of difficulty settings that should let you tailor the experience to your liking. In my case, t꧅hat'll just be appreciating the beasts showing their bums.

As you'd expect from a game centred around medieval doodles, your creatures aren't the only thing you'll have to leﷺarn how to use, as your Master of the Living Ink can also interact with the page to crush or push enemies away and draw in obstacles. All this depth is before we even get into the apocalypse or famous figures that you'll have to challenge in a great doodle battle.

If you've been excited about Inkulinati for some time, you'll be happy to hear that TheGamer Specialist Matt Arno🎉ld spoke﷽ quite highly of it in his review. He said, "The visual style may be the star of the show, but und🦂erneath the farting donkey bards and dancing-plague skeletons is a competent, compelling roguelite that will keep you up well into the night like a monk copying a manuscript by candlelight".
