Formula One driver Lando Norris has announced the launch of his own esports organization, Team Quadrant. The 20-year-old, wh🦩o is no stranger to the gaming and content creation world, says this is “something [he’s] wanted to 💧do for a long while.” Team Quadrant will mainly focus on racing, gaming, and content creation.
Lando Norris has built up an online following throughout 2020, mainly due to the COVID-19 pandemic halting Formula One events. The British driver streams racing simulator games and official virtual races on his , where he has amassed nearly 700,000 folᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚlowers. "Quadrant is something I've wanted to do for a long while," . "The lockdown accelerated things because I was doing a lot more streaming online and getting more into it. It definitely made me want to do it a bit quicker."
Norris also explained that Quadrant𒈔 will be starting out “reasonably small♕” before expanding into more sectors of the gaming and esports world. Norris is not the first F1 driver to enter the esports and gaming scene, as Romain Grosjean launched sim racing team R8G earlier this year.
Quadrant has also announced the signings of Aarav “Aarava” Amin and Steve “SuperGT” Alvarez Brown, both racing sim streamers, as well as streamers Niran “FNG” Yesufu and RiaBish. The team has appeared on Norris’s Twitch stream, and released a YouTube v𒉰ideo together.
