Rumor has it that Facebook is now offering partners of Mixer a $2,500 bonus upon signing an exclusivity deal with Faceboo🤪k Gaming, incentivizing former Mixer streamers and affiliates to make the switch.
Following Microsoft's shutdown of Mixer in exchange for a partnership with Facebook, industry analyst ꦬ@Slasher has cited sou𓄧rces claiming that Facebook will be offering Mixer users a signing bonus of $2,500. This is contingent upon the fulfillment of conditions and a 90-day stay.
The tweet can be seen below.
Presumably, this would be meant as a nice incentive for streamers looking to switch venues. While Twitch is avail🅘able, streamers may still choose otherꦍ outlets for their live streaming.
It is unclear what other obligations exist beyond staying with the Facebook Gaming Creatoꦰr Program for 90 days. Perhaps there will need to be a quota that has to be met. Or, there could be content requirements that should be adhered to for the bonus. In any case, given the abrupt nature of Facebook Gaming and Microsoft's partnership, it's a charitable incentive coming from Facebook.
Interestingly, Ninja, Shroud, and Loaded all were offered values above their initial contracts with Mixer🎐, according to @Slasher.
Ninja famously made an exclusivity deal with Mixer nearly a year ago that left a rift between himself and Twitch. However, it's unclear as to where Ninja and Shro🎉ud will go with Facebook and Microsoft's deal.
As for other Mixer users offered this deal, answers will likely vary among them. It is a nice bonus for, at least, a three-month stay. However, some may turn to Twitch, YouTube, or other streaming 🍷platforms as a sufficient alternative.
Broadly speaking, the new p🧸artnership between Microsoft and Facebook Gaming will likely bring a lot of traffic to Facebook Gaming. While big names like Ninja and Shroud aren't making th🐈e migration, there are other streamers whose audiences will likely switch over to Facebook Gaming for continued watching.
And with the coming console generation, there will be plenty to stream. More streamers may even come to the Facebook Gaming platform with the 🥃Xbox Series X. However, only time will tell 😼before we can gauge the success of the deal.
