So, during the Cell Games, seven creatures were spawned by Cell to take care of the Z Fighters. These creatures were called Cel൲l Juniors, and absolutely decimated most of the fighters without much difficulty. However, when Gohan managed to achieve the Super Saiyan 2 powerup, he was able to destroy all the Cell Juniors with ease.

Unfortunately, 🧜it seems that the people behind the anime lost track of how many Cell Juniors had been unleashed upon the Z Fighters.
