Fishing has proven to be a pretty core mechanic in farming sims these days, and delivers on th🐼e trend, including a pretty comfortable fishing mechanic in the game. You’ll receive your first fishing rod from Eddy, the eager fisherman in Azoria, and be able to fish all over town for an abundance of different marine life.
From common fish to rare ones you’ll fight to catch, our guide breaks dowඣn all the places you can fish in Fae Far♔m, as well as which fish you can expect to catch in each location at certain times of the year.
Updated on September 23, 2023: Now that we've unlocked all the regions of Azoria and have caught every fish, we're updating our Fae Farm fishing guide to include any fish we missed along the way, as well as the deep sea fish that unlock later in the game at higher skill levels.
Fishing In Fae Farm, Explained
Fishing is one of the earliest mechanics you'll learn in Fae Farm! During your introductory chapters, the Mayor will send you to speak to Eddy, who can be found outside his fishing shop in Stay-a-While Bay.
Upon speaking to him for the first time, Eddy explains his job as a fisherman and gives you your first fishing rod. To test it out and prove you can fish, he'd like you to catch any fish and bring it back to him.
His shop is thankfully right on the ocean, so head down to the shoreline and cast your rod into the water after selecting it from your tool ring.
You can also catch a freshwater fish for this task, but with the ocean right nearby, it's a time-saver to just catch ꦅওa saltwater fish.
When you cast off, you'll see a growing arrow stretching out into the water with a blue bobber. This is your throw distance when you release the button to throw the line.
Once in the water, you'll need to get a fish's attention. You can see all of the fish in the water no matter where you're fishing, so you won't be casting blind - simply cast into a fish's line of sight.
The fish swim in a predictable pattern, which means you'll need to watch the fish for a moment to work out its pattern before casting to ensu🌃re you land the bobber in a good s❀pot.
After your line has been cast, wait for a fish to notice it. You can jiggle your lure to catch their attention, and when they've latched on, you'll receive the instruction to hold the button shown on screen to reel the fish in.
In fact, jiggling the lure a few times is almost a surefire way to get the fish hooked - they often don't notice a lure right in their path until it jigꦗgles.
But, the fish will pull back and put up a fight. If you notice that your line is red and the fish you've hooked has a red, cartoonish struggle emote above its head, ease up on the button for just a moment - you'll break your line if it gets too tight!
Once you've gotten the fish dragged all the way back to your farmer, they'll pull the fish from the water. It goes right into 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:your inventory, and you'll also💙 get a notice that you have a new Almanac entry if it's a ﷽fish you're catching for the first time.
In all, you'll be able to fish in saltwater off the coast of Azoria, freshwater like rivers and ponds around Azoria, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Fae Realm, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Mountain, the deep sea, and for shellfish.
