When starting 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fallout 4, you may quickly learn that your character needs to be a certain kind of special. By "special," though, we mean S.P.E.C.I.A.L., which is the acronym for the starting stats of the game. It stands for Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, and Luck. You will begin with a total of 21 points to dedicate to different S.P.E.C.I.A.L stats. These seven traits will dictate your play style and talents because they affect what perks you'll have access to when you level up.
Of course, you can also add points to your traits by finding magazines and bobbleheads hidden around the Boston area. Additionally, some perks, like Int🧔ensive Training, will give you bonus S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stat points after you unlock them. Perks points are unlocked when you level up.
The magic of Fallout 4 is that the best stats depend on what type of build you want to be. Do you want to be up-close in combat? Sneaky and distant? A master craftsman? Depending on your vision, the best stats can be different. Some S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats are better for some tasks and playstyles, so we've broken them down by those guidelines. Additionally, we've outlined stats that will benefit any build.
Updated December 1, 2021, by Anton Charpentier: Understanding what your skill points do is vital to your success and the fun of Fallout 4. Fallout continues to be a massive franchise that is constantly attracting new players. Newer players to the series may not fully understand the RPG style of level progression in Fallout 4. Therefore, we've added even more information to ensure that you have a better understanding of the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. level and perk system before you start Fallout 4.
Strength
Strength modifies your carry weight and melee damage. ෴Each point gives +10 carry capacity and a 10 percent increase in melee and unarmed damage. Strength is vital if you want to have a melee or heavy-gun playstyle. The more you invest in Strength, the more brutish your character will be. But, if you go too low in Strength skills, it will limit your carrying capacity and your weapon♏ effectiveness. A balanced Strength level (around 5 to 7) is a wise choice.
Invest in Strength if you plan on...
- Doing unarmed, melee, or heavy gun-based combat.
- Making armor.
- Wearing 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Power Armor a lot.
- Carrying a lot of items (or heavy items).
Here is a list of every Strength-Based Perk in the game:
You should note that the first one of the list (Iron Fist) is unlockable when your Strength skill is equivalent to one. If you have max Strength (ten), you can unlock Pain Train. So for every Strength level that you add, you make the next perk down unlockable. These are the rest of the Strength perks you can invest in later, in order of required strength levels:

Two of the best Strength perks are Strong Back and Armorer. The Strong Back perk will increase your carrying capacity by 25 the first time you unlock it. Then when you reach its second tier, it will further increase your carrying capacity by 50. Carrying capacity is one of the most common issues that you will come across in Fallout 4. Therefore, having a higher limit is vital. The Armorer perk lets you access armor mods, which is extremely useful in the late game. When you come across stronger enemies, yoᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚu will want and lik🐻ely need modded armor.
Perception
Perception affects lockpicking, stealing attempts, and the accuracy of V.A.T.S. Each point in Perception adds a 10 percent increase in V.A.T.S. accuracy. (The cap to V.A.T.S. accuracy is 95 percent). If you plan on playing as a thief or sharpshooter, this is the category for you. If you go too low with your perception stats, you will struggle with aiming and hitting targets. If you are new to Fallout, make sure you have at least five perception skill points.
Invest in Perception if you plan on...
- Using V.A.T.S. a lot.
- Pickpocketing and picking locks.
- Using explosives, non-automatic rifles, and sniper rifles.

The best Perception perk is the Locksmith perk, which lets you unlock higher-level locks. These locks are found throughout Boston. If you c♕rack them, you have a greater chance of finding better loot or alternative passageways.
Endurance
Endurance increases your Hit Points and the rate at which action points deplete while sprinting. Endurance is a super important quality of life skill when you are walking around the wasteland. It mainly affects your health and stamina, so it plays a significant role in your survival. Endurance compliments a Strength build but is generally necessary if you want to be less reliant on meds. If you think you will be less combat-focused, you don't need to invest that heavily in Endurance.
Invest in Endurance if you plan on...
- Taking a lot of risks (eating radiated foods, swimming, and taking many chems).
- Rarely, if ever, relying on stealth.
- Putting a lot of points into Strength.
- Rarely, if ever, wearing Power Armor.
- Trying intense battles where the odds are against you.

Radiation can be really bothersome while you play through the game, so diminishing its effects is a huge benefit. Toughness, on the other hand, increases your damage resistance and makes you harder to kill.
Charisma
Charisma influences your ability to persuade others and get lower prices at shops. This skill is perfect for those who want to talk their way out of dangerous situations and convince others to do their dirty work. Some of the best moments in Fallout happen in its dialogue, so Charisma builds open up lots of fun opportunities. Whether you want to be a leader or a scumbag, you must invest heavily in Charisma. If you don't invest that much in Charisma, NPCs will walk all over you.
Invest in Charisma if you plan on...
- Doing crowd control in combat.

Intelligence
The higher the Intelligence your character has, the fewer words are displayed when168澳洲幸运5开奖网: hacking computers. It also increases XP gain by three percent with each Intelligence point. Intelligence is... well, an intelligent skill to invest in because it improves your ability to outsmart NPCs and mod weapons. Also, you will en💖counter tons of hackable computers, so making the hacking minigame faster is a time saver. If you go below a respectable amount of intelligence skills, your character will have some interesting dialogue choices. This can be 🍒fun but will make your life challenging.
Invest in Intelligence if you plan on...
- Using laser weapons and Power Armor.
- Utilizing high-tech and gun mods.
- Leveling up faster.

Agility
Agility gains more action points and adds a one percent chance to a pickpocketing success. Each skill point will add ten action points to your character stats. Action points affect the amount of V.A.T.S. shots that you can take as well as your stamina. It complements perception-focused builds but is also just a well-rounded skill to have for any character type. If you cut back your Agility skill points, you will run out of action points quickly. If you are in doubt, put around five skill points in Agility.
Invest in Agility if you plan on...
- Sneaking a lot.

The best Agility perk is Action Girl/Boy, which decreases the amount of time it takes to regenerate action points. There are also plenty of other perks that can 𒆙help you with different types of🌊 character builds.
Luck
Luck increases the chance of Critical Hits and how much caps and ammo you can find around the Wasteland. It also decreases the chances of getting a disease from molerat bites. Luck is perfect for thief builds but works well with basically every other build you can think of. Lots of Luck skill points will increase your odds for getting criticals, picking pockets, and other odd buffs. If you have a low amount of Luck skill points, you will need to rely on pure skill and resourcefulness. If you are new to Fallout and have no idea how much Luck you should have, a good rule of thumb is five or more skill points.
Invest in Luck if you plan on...
- Using V.A.T.S. a lot.
- Not investing much in Intelligence.
- Also investing a lot in Perception

The best Luck perks are Fortune Finder, Bloody Mess, and Mysterious Stranger. That said, there are plenty of great perks in the Luck skill category. Fortune Finder increases the number of Caps that you will find around the wasteland, and Bloody Mess will increase the damage you deal in the combat. The Mysterious Stranger perk is a fan favorite. When you unlock it, there will be random moments in the game when a mysterious NPC will show up and help you kill an enemy. It is random as heck, but that's what luck is all about.
