How To Recruit Dogmeat
To recruit Dogmeat, simply make your way to the Red Rocket truck stop outside of Sanctuary Hills, the neighborhood you used to💜 live in. As you approaಌch the Red Rocket, you'll see a dog, who will soon run up to you.
Once Dogmeat comes up to you, a conversation will begin, and you'll have several options. To recruit him, select the "Let's Go" dialogue option, and the💦 dog will immediately start following you around as your companion.
At first, Dogmeat will simply be called "dog", but this will change when you learn his real name if you talk to Mama Murphy in the Museum of Freedom during the When Freedom Calls quest.
