No place is as dangerous or unique within 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fallout 4's Commonwealth as the Glowing Sea. While a player's first instinct might be to avoid th🌠is place like th🍌e plague due to its barren and dangerous environment, it's unfortunately one of those locations that must be visited due to the main quest.
It's easy to consider the Glowing Sea as just a nuclear bomb site, but this area used to once have its own community and its own people. The game doesn't spoon-feed the lore to players, which is why the place just needs to be seen in order to be understood. Here's what is known for certain about this radiation hotsp🌄ot.
10 Not The Only Bomb Site (In The End) 🎃
The Glowing Sea is initially considered ground zero for the bomb that turned the Commonweal🐭th into what it is today. No doubt this was the result of one major bomb which landed in the main crater, and then a bunch of smaller ones came after.
Later on, however, depending on the path the player takes within the main storyline, another location on the map can be turned into a highly 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:radioactive wasteland 🌠of sorts. Cambridge, right where the💦 Institute's headquarters are, might just be replaced by a large crater.
9 Chances Of Survival ♑ ♍
It's really no secret that the Glowing Sea is a difficult place to traverse. That's why it's generally a bad idea to head over there and explore too early on in the game. To successfully venture out into the wastes, players should opt for a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:power armor or a hazmat suit, both of which will cut down radiation'🦩s effects.
Without such protective gear, radiation alone can kill a plℱayer within just two minutes. In the Glowing Sea, water will provide +60 radiation, while the air in general is +10.
8 ꧃ 💮 Deathclaw Galore
If Deathclaws sound like a horri🅺ble time, it might be a good idea not to head over to the Glowing Sea just yet. This place 💃is swarming with them, most likely due to the high levels of radiation.
There are a couple of encounters that are scripted, which really can't be avoided when entering certain areas or buildings within the Glowing Sea. However, it's also not that uncommon to run int🐲o Deathclaws that just randomly spawn in the wastes around the player.
7 Source Of Radiatiℱon Storms
The Glowing Sea has such an important presence within the Commonwealth that it even affect🐽s the overall weather of the area. Those pesky radiation storms that will suddenly appear and force the player to take shelter or get into a pow🃏er armor actually exist due to the Glowing Sea.
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Todd Howard himself has exp༒lained that incoming radiation storms are normal rain clouds that pick up radiation by c✱oming over to the Commonwealth and passing through the Glowing Sea first.
6 🍌 Permanent Radiation ♕
Radiation used to be a thing everywhere in the Commonwealth, and to this day there are defi🏅nitely hotspots that will expose the player to it. However, unlike the ඣGlowing Sea, the majority of the area was cleared and purged of radiation thanks to rain water and winds.
Unfortunately, the Glowing Sea is located almost in 🌌a valley of sorts, surrounded by tall hills and mountainous rock formations. Naturally, this makes it almost like a sinkhole, from which the radiation doesn't budge even with passing weather. Hence, it has permanent radi🧸ation thanks to its natural environment.
5 Insect Inhabitants 🐻
One thing that will no doubt immediately strike players as they enter the Glowing Sea is just how many insects there are compared to other areas. There are in fact very few mammals that still thrive in this area, even if there are mammals ♌elsewhere in the Commonꦯwealth that have been exposed to radiation.
Due to this, m꧋ost of the enemies are incredibly resistant to radiation, including feral , glowing ones and mostly Radscorpions, which are among the toughest enemies in the game.
4 Power A🎀rmors
Those l🐼ooking to find all the power armors within the Commonwealth should prepare for a trip to the Glowing Sea no matter what, since two sets of power armors can be found in this general area. The first can be discovered in the surveillance center K-21B, which is by an abandoned shack.
The second one is found within a cave in the southern parts of th🧔e Glowing Sea, and is a raider type power armor.
3 Former Farmlanꦛd 🌼
While it's pretty hard to tell what the Glowing Sea used to look like, there are a few clues lying around. For one, it's clear that a big part of i💦t was a normal civilian neighborhood, as proven by all the remains of playgrounds and parks lying around.
However, it's also possible that the s🔥outhern parts of the Glowing Sea were farmland, simply because of the machinery found in some areas and the way the terr🍰ain is much flatter.
2 𒐪 🐎 Haunting Locations
While, there are a ton of interesting locations within the Glowing Sea, a couple of locations are a must-visit for any player. The abandoned church, partly sunken into the ground, has a ▨particularly eerie appearance.
The capsized factory is also a sight of its own, similarly half-buried into the ground as a result of the impact of the bomb. And of course, the abandoned shack which hold⛦s a secret of😼 its own is one of the most important places to visit within the Glowing Sea.
1 ൲ 🦂 Why The Bomb Was Dropped Here
Given everything that's known about this place, this question needs to be answered: Why would a nuclear bomb be dropped here, of all places?🌃 Well, it turns out that the Glowing Sea wasn't all farmland and civilian neighborhoods; it ha💖d a few key military facilities as well.
There was actually a facility which housed nuclear w🐼arheads, which the enemy no doubt wanted destroyed quickly in the ෴attack. It also had a secret surveillance bunker, which was targeted by the bombing as well.
