- Fallout 5 won't be rushed, says Todd Howard
- Howard believes that Fallout 76 and the TV show are filling the gap between mainline entries.
- He also wants to announce games closer to the time of launching, avoiding another Elder Scrolls scenario.
Bethesda isn't planning to fast-track another Fallout game to jump on the TV show hype. This is according to Todd Howard, who says that the studio won't "rush" 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fallout 5 or any other kind of sequel.
Howard confirmed this in an interview with YouTuber MrMattyPlays. Here, Howard responded to the calls from fans for Bethesda to give us more news on the future of the Fallout series. However, it doesn't sound like another single-player game is coming any time soon, as the studio plans to fill the gap between sequels with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fallout 76 updates.
Fallout 5 Won't Be Rushed, Says Todd Howard
"I agree with the statement that Fallout has never been more popular," says Howard. He adds that Bethesda's number one priority with Fallout is keeping it relevant, "Clearly, it is. And people are hungry for even more.
"We've never stopped doing Fallout work. A lot of that work goes on in Fallout 76, we have the Skyland Valley update out today [June 12], so [we're] really excited with where that game is at."

The future of Fallout 76 looks bright, but it🃏 is one newcomers should embrace?
However, he is aware that many are waiting for the next offline game. "For other Fallout games in the future, obviously I can't talk about those right now, but I would say [...] we don't feel that we need to rush any of that," he explains. "Right now, the Fallout TV show fills a certain niche in terms of the franchise and storytelling.
"[I] totally get the desire for a new mainline single-player game, and those things take time. I don't think it's bad for people to miss things. We just want to get it right."
He also says that he won't talk about anything that he isn't prepared to launch soon. This is perhaps off the back of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Elder Scrolls 6, which was announced six years ago but infamously, still hasn't got a proper trailer. It looks like Bethesda is serious about avoiding this in the future,
Despite Howard's language here, it's possible that Xbox will encourage Bethesda to jump on another Fallout game soon. It has previously been reported that Xbox wants anoth𓆉𒆙er Fallout game "sooner rather than later", which would seemingly go against Bethesda's plans to work on Starfield expansions and The Elder Scrolls 6 first. It's possible that another developer would be put on the project like Obsidian was with Fallout: New Vegas, but that remains to be seen.
