Fallout is a fun, extensive franchise to explore and it adds a unique spin to social commentary on a nuclear-post-apocalyptic America. Of course, given exactly that it is an extensive, long-running world, there's bound to be a myriad of plot holes that have cropped up, s꧅ome bigger than others.
With four major titles and numerous off-shoot games big and small, not every story and timeline lines up so seamlessly with each other. And will every problem be so easily resolved in future games? Probably not, 🉐but these seven plotholes could definitely be addressed in Fallout 5.
7 Odd And ⛦Impo💫ssible Tech
The surviving infrastructure and tech of Fallout has future-retro themes galore as it mixes sci-fi wonders like AI, laser weaponry, and portable computers with the bulky aesthetic of mid-20th century tech. Given the nuclear decimation that befell the USA though, all technological developments were brought to a standstill...until 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fallout 4, that is.
Indeed, thanks to the likes of the Institute, the Commonwealth is rife with technological wonders more befitting modern standards of s𓆉cience-fiction: instant teleportation, synthetic humans, advanced hydroponics, etc. It's like stepping into a whole other world and it shouldn't exist.
Even if built under the remnants of a renowned STEM college, there's no plausible way that such tech could exist in such a short time span, given the catastrophic disaster that preceded it. But then, where is said game's ꧙player character, the Lone Wanderer? Certainly, anyone with the title of "Wanderer" should have "wandered" their way from DC to Massachusetts too, right? Well, unless certain DLC is confirmed canon, they technically died at the end of the main plot, and this small plot hole can be absolved--for them, at the least. But the Courier of New Vegas or Chosen One of Fallout 2? They could very much be alive by the events of Fallout 4.
And unless 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fallout 5 takes another major forward or backward time skip, they could still be alive then, alongside the Sole Survivor. But the Brotherhood of Steel is arguably the poster-boy faction for the Fallout franchise as it is featured in almost every game. An♒d yet, the Brotherhood of the first two Fallouts is not the Brotherhood of Fallout 3, 4, or 76. Indeed, what started out originally as a West-Coast splinter group of the US army now spans coast 🌃to coast despite having fragmented leadership.
Fallout 4 and 76 attempted to rectify this with the latter explaining how its founder, Roger Maxson, eventually expanded the faction eastward. The former has his descendant, Arthur Maxon, now controlꦰling the eastern chapters. That's one plot hole settled.
But if all games combined have anything to show, it's that the Brotherhood and its many chapters have long been fragmented in ideals. West Coast BoS is different from the Mojave which is different from Appalachia which is different from East Coast. There is no central, unifying command, and a clash between chapters is only a matter of time. Yet, none of𝐆 the games thus far has acknowledged this power vacuum. Hopefully, Fallout 5 will change that.
4 𒊎 Think About The Environment
Not every region of America was bombed evenly. DC was utterly decimated, so it makes sense that nothing still grows there even 200 years after💦 the fact. The Mojave was (mostly) spared, so finding desert flora among the arid sands is unsurprising. But the series shows rather conflicting results of radiation recovery. The Appalachia still holds lush -- if not irradiated and warped -- lands even in the immediate decades following the Great War (though no one yet knows how it looks in the 23rd century).
Barring ground zero, Massachusetts has fauna thriving amid ruins a mere two centuries later. But California is still a near-wasteland after 200 years. The rest of America's ecosystems are still unaccounted for. Are Florida and Hawaii still tropical? Is Alaska still arctic? And how fares the Great Plains or the G🔯ulf of Mexico? Given radiation's apparently uneven effect on America, the rest of the country is still shrouded in mystery.
3 ⛦ Which Group Rules Where 𝔍

Players can usually side with any of said groups during the course of their gameplay﷽, helping their chosen side emerge victorious in the end. But it's because of this player control that canon results remain vague from game to game.

Littered about Fallout's many irradiatꦕed landscapes are reminders of America's fictional war with China from pre-war anti-Communist propaganda to lingering anti-Chinese sentiments among characters. There are even ghoulified Chinese soldiers and spies still surviving centuries later. But the thing is, no one knows how China is currently doing in-game.
While it's been repeatedly shown that America had troops stationed abroad before the Great War, it's never specified where exactly. It's also never clarified if America ever did (or even could) 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:retaliate to the mass nuking from China or if they did something equally destructive beforehand. And the thing is, in the present of the games, there's also nothing indicat꧋ing current political or mꦡilitary action from them either.
In part, America's communication with the rest of the w📖orld has clearly been cut off. But even then, players never accidentally (or even purposefully) stumble across any modern espionage of military movement from the country. So, how exactly is China doing in the time period of Fallout 4 or even before?

Given both in-game lore and meta, there are at least several things we do know about this fictional future.
