Patch 21 falls into Fallout 76 on Tuesday, August 4th, and will be launching an event in two parts for the Wastelanders community. The Fortifying ATLAS event heralds the official arrival of the Brotherhood of Steel to Appalachia, and we’ll be tasked with turning the ATLAS Observatory into their base𓆏 of operations in exchange for a va👍riety of in-game rewards.
After Patch 21 is applied on Tuesday, we’ll be able to commence the missions by traveling to the ATLAS Observatory in the Savage Divide and meeting Russell Dorsey. He’ll request our assistance in gathering materials and supplies to help construct the Brotherhood of Steel (BoS) base at the Observatory. The rewards will be doled out if and when the Fallout 76 commuಌ🍸nity meets the collection goals for each phase of each mission stage.
✃The first stage of the Fortifying ATLAS event is called Project Alpha, and runs from August 4th to the 18th. During the Project’s four phases, we’ll be tasked with gathering behemoth amounts of steel, concrete, cork, and plastic. The rewards for gathering the specified amounts of each include a BoS beret, a BoS C.A.M.P. banner, High S.C.O.R.E. Double Daily Challenges (August 20 – 24), and a Bonus Challenges Week (August 26 – 31), respectively.
Project Bravo is the second stage of the Fortifying ATLAS event, and runs from August 27th ⛎to September 10th. Wood, cloth, leather, and glass will be the items we’ll be collecting during the four phases of this stage, with rewards being a set of Steel ꦍDawn Army Fatigues, a Brotherhood of Steel Collectron Station, a Purveyor 50% off Super Sale (September 10 -14), A Second Helping of Meat Week from September 22nd to the 28th.
An additional reward will be given each time we deliver a load of scrap to𒅌 Dors👍ey at the Observatory. The ATLAS Donor's Provisions box will be added to our inventory that will give various items, and has a chance of awarding a set of rare Plans.
With the enormous amounts of supplies that’ll be needed for the event, it’s a good idea for us to go ahead and begin🐻 collecting them now. If you can, relocate your C.A.M.P. to secure one of the many resource deposits and set up Extractors. Or ally yourself with a fellow Wastelander who already has a secure C.A.M.P. in place and offer to run the supplies to the Observatory. However you work your plan, just be aware that there may very well be an increase in bandit activity, by people (PCs and NPCs) who DO NOT want a Brotherhood of Steel presence in Appalachia.
