According to Bethesda's Todd Howard, Fallout 76 will still be around when 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fallout 5 is hꦆere. In fact, he believes the two games will coexist after launch, even though we have no idea when the next mainline Fallout game will be with us.

Fallout 5 Won't Hurt Fallout 76, Says Todd Howard

This comes from an interview with the YouTuber MrMattyPlays, in which Howard was asked if Fallout 5 is being held back due to fears that it would take away from Fallout 76's playerbase, or vice versa.

"When you're starting those things, we have that fear [of] is one game going to cannibalise another?" says Howard. "The good news is as long as the initial releases are spread out a little bit, they don't. They both find their audiences.

"Skyrim is still one of our most played games while 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Elder Scrolls Online is celebrating [its] tenth anniversary and going really well. Even when we update those games, they don't really cannibalise each other."

When there's another Fallout, [a] classically single-player game, my expectation is 76 is just as healthy as it is today.

He continues, explaining that this already extends to Fallout. "Then you see it with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fallout 4 hitting number one in the charts, and then 76 right behind it," Howard shares. "Logic would say there's a little bit of cannibalisation between the two. But much, much less in practice than we thought. When there's another Fallout, [a] classically single-player game, my expectation is 76 is just as healthy as it is today."

However, don't think this means that we'll get another single-player Fallout anytime soon.
