Since The Master isn't present in the modern Fallout games, most players don't know that the FEV virus mutated this creature, and a lot of players don't kn𝔍ow about The Master's existence at all.

During the events of Fallout 1, the original Dogmeat companion died while accompanying The Vault Dweller inside of the Mariposa Mili♏tary Base. Similar to Fallout 4, Dogmeat is an animal follower that aids the player in combat.
