Summary

  • Courier Six walked 131 miles to get to New Vegas.
  • This was worked out by a fan who is mapping out a bunch of Fallout locations.
  • There is a quicker route to New Vegas... but you're better off taking the longer path. Trust me.

From the very start of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fallout: New Vegas, the titular city is dangled in front of you. However, while you look close enough to Vegas on the world map, heading there right away will only result in your death. Instead, you're expected to take the long way around - and one fan has worked out exactly how long that road is.

Twitter user @Tunnelsnakefool, who is currently trying to place every Fallout location on a real-life map, has worked out how far the Courier walked from Goodsprings to New Vegas. Just to avoid the Cazadors, the player character had to walk roughly 131 miles, or 210 kilometres. They really wanted Benny dead, huh?♚

The Journey From Goodsprings To New Vegas Is 131 Miles

@Tunnelsnakefool also shared a map of the real-life path the Courier would have taken to get to Vegas from the game's starting area. As you can see below, it almost perfectly matches the path you'd take in game, as the devs over at Obisidan recreate๊d numerous real-life locations for the New Vegas world map.

While this is the path that most players will take, some brave the journey North. If you can evade the Cazadors, Deathlcaws, and Fiends that block your path, then that shaves off a lot of time - and skips some of the best side quests in the game. You can always go back to them later, but it will feel a little strange wandering into a small, quiet town while you've got all the factions in the game asking for your help.

Then, of course, you have the players who were tricked into taking the much more difficult route 🐬to Vegas. This happened when 168澳洲幸运5开奖网ඣ:a bunch of first-time players picked up New Vegas after the success of the Fallout show - and made the mistake of turning to the fanbase for help. They then proceeded to tell them that there's some super cool loot in Quarry Junction and that it's a great shortcut to get to Vegas. As any longtime player will tell you... it is not.
