Summary

  • The Fallout show hints that a fan-favourite setting will make a return in the next season.
  • The show borrows heavily from one game in particular, more so than others in the series, and it looks like that trend will continue.

The Fallout show is out now, with all eight episodes becoming available on Pr🤪ime Video this Wednesday. While the show largely stays away from the games, opting to tell its🐠 own story, its ending suggests that season two will take a much different approach.

Major spoilers for the Fallout show ahead.

In the final moments of the show, we see Hank the overseer flee a battle, flying off in power armour into the wasteland. After some more loose ends are tied up, we return to Hank to see that he's completely left the show's California setting, and has ended up in a location that any fan of the games will recognise immediately: the New Vegas strip.

With at least two of our three leads seemingly setting off to find Hank, this heavily implies that the next season's story will revolve around New Vegas, returning us to the location for the first time since 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fallout: New Vegas in 2010. This is incredibly significant, as the game New Vegas was developed by Obsidian, not Bethesda, leaving many fans doubtful that the series would ever ret👍urn to the area.

But now, we have a show that borrows heavily from the Obsidian-developed game. Throughout the first seas💙on, we hear a lot about the New California Republic and are even taken to their former base of operations in Shady Sands. The character of Mr. House also aꦰppears in the show very briefly, albeit in his pre-war form, not the computer screen we met in the game. Then, the final shot is New Vegas, taking us back to one of the most iconic locations in the series.

How Will The Show Deal With Fallout: New Vegas' Multiple Endings?

Series purists will be disappointed to hear that the Fallout show already made some huge changes to the lore. According to the timeline the show presents us with, Shady Sands was bombed before the New Vegas game took place, despite this never being brought up. So, we can expect the show's interpretation of New Vegas as an area to also take some creative liberties, perhaps deciding that one of the endings available to players is canon for the sake of the story.

In any case, it already looks like🐬 a second season has been conꩵfirmed. It's not clear when this will start filming though, so we might be in for a bit of a wait.
