Far Cry 5 is a game that's set in the fictional Hope County, Montana where a cult lead by Joseph Seed has threatened to destroy the way of life of the people living there. In the game, the player is tasked with traveling to Hope County to take out each of the cult outposts, the Seed family's followers, and each member of the Seed family 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:before it's too late.

Even though the game is simply a work of fiction and Hope County doesn't exist, it does make a few references to real places. Early in the game, a character mentions going to Missoula, a real city in Montana, and eagle-eyed gamers might spot some locations around the game that have a striking resemblance to real places around Big Sky Country. To see 10 Far Cry 5 locations inspired by the real world, keep re𒉰ading!

10 Stoney's Kw☂ik Stop ജ

Even though there are massive cow statues all over the world, the fact that this cow's design is so distinct definitely makes us think that this is no coincidence. Anyone who has played Far Cry 5 will definitely ൲remember this massive landmark outside of Lorna's Truck Stop in Hope County.

The real-life equivalent is located outside of Stoney's Kwik Stop in Greenough, Montana. This massive cow brings people to Stoney's Kwik Stop, a convenience store and casino, who are passing through🐼 so that they can stop and take a picture with the cow.

9 Melville Lutheran Church 💛 ✱

Religion is a huge part of Far Cry 5, we all know that. The cult that has taken over Hope County believes that the Seed family was sent to them by a higher power and they refer to the main leader, Joseph, as The Father. So, the fact that one of the many churches in the game has♔ such a large part in the story is no surprise.

Players have to visit John's church a few times throughout the game, but how many people knew that this church was actually inspired by a real church in Montana? The historic Lutheran Church in Melville, Montana looks just like John's church - but hopefully 🀅with less Seed-like figures worshipping there.

8 ༺ Butte Mining Tow🌞er

The mine in Holland Valley is the sit༒e of one of the most fun and challenging missions in the game. It's definitely not easy to take out all the cultists that are hiding around in this mine, but it's a ton of fun and having one of the Guns for Hire with you makes the whole thing a lot easier.

But, something that not every Far Cry 5 fan knows is the fact that this mine actually looks a lot like one that used to exist in Montana. Butte is a town in the southwestern part of Montana that used to beꦐ a huge mining town and there's still a museum dedicated to it. In the museum, there's an old photo of one of the mining towers that was used during the city's heyday 🌊as a mining city. Look familiar?

7 Lake McDonald Fireplace ๊

Glacier National Park is a popular tourist destination in Montana and there are quite a few locations around Far Cry 5 that bear resemblances to this part of the state. Among them is this fireplace. Although it may look like any regular fireplace, the ston🦂es around it and the wooden 🤡covering above it make it easy to see that it was inspired pretty heavily by a historic fireplace in Montana.

The fireplace that this one was inspired by is located in Lake McDonald Lodge in Glacier National Park. Although it's not identical, those w💮ood slats on the ceiling and the shape of the fireplace make it easy to see where the inspiration for this fireplace came from.

6 🍒 Hillside Letters

Upon seeing the giant "YES" sign in the hillside in Far Cry 5, many people might think it's a reference to the iconic Hollywood sign in Los Angeles. Although this is definitely a good guess, the fact that this game is set in Montana makes it likely that the sign was also inspired by the hillside letters that ar🍒e located all over the state.

White letters are painted into the mountains all around Montana, including this large letter "M" that can be seen on the horizon in Missoula, Montana. Unfortunately for the residents of Hope County, the🌼 "YES" sign is a lot less of an homage to their state and more of a reminder to the Seed's foll🐈owers to remember John Seed's motto to always say "yes."

5 🎶 Flathead Brewing Co.

There are a variety of different outposts all over Hope County that the cultists use to hꩲold their hostages and keep the𒉰ir cult running smoothly. Unfortunately for the Seed family, it's up to the player to find each of these outposts, take out all the cultists, and reclaim the area for the citizens of Hope County. Each one gives the players resistance points and upsets the Seed family member that controls that region.

This outpost is one that has a pretty distinct design and looks exactly like a brewery in Montana. In Far Cry 5, this location is called Whistling Beaver Brewery and is located in the Hebane River region. 𝓡In real life, Flathead Lake Brewing Co. is located in Bigfork.

4 🎀 St. Mary Lake

Far Cry 5 may be primarily focused on the cult that has taken💫 over Hope County, but the game is set in Montana, so it's obvious that there's going to be a tonꦦ of beautiful, natural landscapes around the game. One of them is a lake that has a unique feature in it that was inspired by a real-life Montana lake.

This lake may look like a perfectly normal lake, 𓃲but the fact that there's a small island covered in trees out in the ꦉmiddle definitely makes it stand out. This lake was inspired by St. Mary Lake, a lake located in Glacier National Park in Montana.

3 ಞ Lake McDonald Lodge 𝓀

The Grand View Hotel is a hotel located in the Whitetail Mountain region of Hope County. Anyone who has played Far Cry 5 will know that this hotel is definitely overrun by cultists and it'sꦚ not easy to take the🍌m all out without a Gun for Hire by your side.

But, along with being difficult to get through, this hotel also bears a striking resemblance to a real-life lodge in Montana. This hotel was inspired by Lake McDonald Lodge, a historic lodge locat🐻ed in Glacier National Park.

2 Our Lady Of The Rockies ꦉ

Massive statues inspired by religious figures are definitely not something un🐼ique. There are a lot of them located all over the world, but this statue of Joseph Seed located up in the mountains is definitely one that raised some eyebrows. There's a mission in the game that allows the player to even go up and destroy it, and want to really upset Joseph and Faith.

This statue looks super similar to one located in Butte, Montana known as Our Lady of the Rockies. This statue is a statue of Mary and was completed in 19🌼85. It's one of the tallest statues in the US!

1 𒆙 Loꦬgan Pass Visitor Center

The Whitetail Park Visitor Center is locate🐼d in the Whitetail Mountains region of Hope County. The design of this building is definitely unique with its tall fences, trees all over the place, and unique style of roof.

The fact that it's so unique looking makes it obvious that it was inspired by this incredibly similar-looking building in Montana. This location looks just like Logan Pass Visitor Center,🌞 a historic building located in Glacier National Park that has the same style of building, sloping yard, and tons of trees.
