"You can't have an island – this country – without having a capital city," the narrative director explained, "and I think there’s a lot of love and care that [the developers] put into not only just building the city, but the demographics around that." Khavari also said when players first enter the city, which is essentially the capital of the fictional island called Yara, it will be like they have entered the "lion's den" since it will serve as the villain's location. "This is the seat of Antón's power. This is where most of his supporters are [...]," Khavari stated in the interview. Aside from getting to explore Yara's capital city, players will be able to run across rooftops, travel through💎 back alleys, and even fight "some of the toughest opponents" within the city.

In previous Far Cry games, there weren't any large bustling cities. For instance, Far Cry 3 took place on an island, while Far Cry 4 was set in the Himalayas.
