Farming Simulator 22 is showing off several new customization options ahead of its November release date. The main draw is the ability to deck out your farmer in a variety of fashionable farmwear, including options from Case IH, CLAAS, Fendt, and Valtra – names that'll immediately be recognizable to the farming elite and nobody else.

In the new screenshots, Giants Software gave fans a brief overview of how the new system will work. You'll be able to choose to play as either a male or female character before decking them out head to toe in protective gear. Hats, gloves, glasses, and even full-body outfits are up for grabs, and Giants Software says you'll have plenty of options to make your farmer your own.

"On top of the generic clothing options, virtual farmers can also choose from a set of branded outfits, the team announced. "When running a farmin༒g operation heavy on John Deere machinery, dressing up in the distinctive green company color adds to the authenticity of agricultural farming operations.

"Case IH, CLAAS, Fendt, Massey Ferguson, Valtra, and others are also represented with their authentic outfits. Thanks to ELTEN, Giants Software’s trusted partner for safety shoes, and Engelbert Strauss, specialized in high-quality workwear, the safety of virtual farmers is guaranteed, tooꩲ."

Beyond clothing, you'll also have the option to customize your farm with a "new and extensive build mode," which will let you tweak the appearance and location of fences, sheds, lamps, trees, plants, and other objects scattered around your farm.

Farming Sim Outdoor Customization

With crossplay and cooperation a key draw of Farming Simulator 22, the ability to distinguish your manure-covered farmer from your friends is likely to become a useful – and entertaining – feature. Here's hoping we can run around barefoot in overalls, although I'm not sure OSHA would approve.
