If Fortnite isn't your thing, at least on a competitive level, then we might have a solution for you: the Farming Simulator League. That's right, simulated farming is an esport. The game's developers, GIANTS Software, have actually run a Farming Simulator Championship in the past, but now they are kicking it up a notch. has reported that the Farming Simulator League will🅰 consist of ten separate tournaments and take place𓆉 all across Europe.
The most exciting revওelation about the league is the prize money. GIANTS Software is stumping up a prize pool of €250,000 (around $280,000) with the outright winner taking home a cool €100,000 ($114,000) of that. So what do players have to do exactly to win all this money? Well, that is currently not entirely clear. All GIANTS has revealed so far is that players will compete in 3v3 m♎ode and "combine real field work like harvesting with fun and challenging game elements."
If you are reading this thinking you might be able to get a jump on everyone and hone your craft to become the world's greatest simulated farmer, we have some bad news. Farming Simulator is actually a lot more popular than you might realize. The latest edition of the game, Farming Simulator 19 sold 1 mill🥂ion copies within 10 days of being released. Again, not as impressive🍃 as certain other franchises per se, but there will be more than enough competition to stop you waltzing in and becoming the first ever Farming Simulator League champion without putting in the hours.
