Keisuke Kikuchi, a long-time series producer, hinted that if the 168🤡澳洲幸运5开奖网:Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water remaster is successful, there could be a sequel.

"That's what I'm hoping," states Kikuchi in an interview with . "We're releasing this game to commemorate the series' 20th anniversary, and we're hoping a lot of fans will take the opportunity to play the game. We'd love this to lead to a new title."

The remaster for Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water, announced earlier this summer, will come out on October 28 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. So in all likelihood, it'll sell much better than it initially did back in 2014 as a Wii U exclusive since it's coming out on six different platforms this time.

Of course, the sheer number of platforms might not be enough, either. Critics were not kind to Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water back in the day, as it's currently sitting at a . By no means is that a terrible score, but given that this was supposed to be the grand return of the series at the time, it's not hard to figure out why it sold so poorly back then. Some of the chief complaints for Maiden of Black Water were that it relies too much on tacky jump scares, and the interconnecting storylines don't come together in a way that makes any sense.

We don't know if any of the complaints thrown at Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water will be addressed in the remaster, but here's to hoping. Regardless of the last entry's reception, Fatal Frame is one of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:great survival horror series of the past couple of decades.
