Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves 💖- Complete Guide To Every Mechanic
From Just Defenses to REV Accels to S.P.Gs, this guide will tell you everything you need to know about Fatal Fury: City 🗹Of The Wolves's mechanics.
But there is another reason to chec🧔k out these modes, as the single-player-centric ones offer excellent boss encounters that can push you to your limit and give you a shot of nostalgia if you're a long-time fan. Episodes of South Town and the 𝓰Arcade mode are worth exploring if you want to test your skills and bump into a familiar face!
How To Fight Nightmare Geese In Episodes Of South Town
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Episodes of South Town is the new 'RPG' single player mode for Fatal Fury: C🐻ity of the Wolves, allowing you to select a character and complete a series of Stages while leveling ไup, unlocking new Skills, and obtaining unique cosmetic items for your profile and character.
However, while every character has their own story arc in this mode, many of them share the same boss encounters, which can make some aspects feel less special. But, on the plus side, that means multiple characters will be able to take a shot at Nightmare Geese in Episodes of South Town.
Who Can Fight Nightmare Geese In EOST?
Out of the extensive 17-character roster in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, only five of them can fight Nightmare Geese in the Episodes of South Town mode, as it makes sense for their sli⛦ce of the story, which can be a bi♔t of a bummer if your favorite isn't included. The following characters are the ones who can fight him:
How To Fight Nightmare Geese In EOST
Selecting one of the characters above in Episodes of South Town will allow you to encounter Nightmare Geese as the final boss in the mode, and sometimes several times throughout. He will be the last encounter in both the Standard EOST and EOST+ modes, with the E🎃OST+ fight being extremely challenging.
As is the case with every EOST+ mode, the final encounter's Recommended Level is Level 90, so it's advised to tackle everything in each region before attempting to take Nightmare Geese on in this 🦹mode, as he won't be as much of a pushover as he 🐷was in the standard mode!
How To Fight Nightmare Geese In Arcade Mode
Arcade is the other mode that allows you to encounter Nightmare Geese, except that reaching him will be substantially more challenging overall. However, the good news here is that any character can take him on in this mode, so you can at least use♈ your main this tiಌme around.
This method is also how you will obtain the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:'Begone, weakling!' Hidden T꧂rophy/Achievement, wh🌺ich is one of the more challenging ones to unlock. Regardless, Nightmare Geese is a very cool encounter and is worth seeking out, even if getting to him can be difficult!
How To Fight Nightmare Geese In Arcade Mode
To fight Nightmare Geese in Arcade mode, you must set the CPU Level to Level 5 when choosing your fighter. From here, you will then have to win every single match without losing once.
Losing a round is fine, but losing the match will disqualify Nightmare Geese from appearing at the end. Additionally, if you make it all the way up to Nightmare Geese and lose the match, you must start over, as you only get one chance to defeat him in battleꦯ!
CPU Level 5 Arcade Mode Tips
Like most SNK Arcade modes, the hard mode CPUs are accused of input reading, making them very challenging to approach and attack, as they will react to what you're doing at tremendo♐us speeds, delivering the perfect counter for your attack.
Fortunately, this also means there are ways to overcome this with some 'cheese' and strategy. Throw loops will save you for this challenge, especially if you play a character with a sprint instead of a dash. The general plan is to backdash at round start, toss out a projectile, then run in and throw them.
After doing this, you can sprint at them again and throw them when they wake up. Keep looping throws as long as you can until they break it, then repeat the steps again until you trap them into another throw loop!
Sometimes, they will not be having any of it at all, forcing you to actually play differently, but, for the most part, throw loops will get you to where you need to be. If throws aren't working, we suggest trying to outzone them, while punishing their jump-in attempts with strong anti-aiไr options!
How To Defeat Nightmare Geese
Nightmare Geese is a mighty opponent in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, especially in Arcade Mode and Episodes of South Town+, as he has many devastating attacks and combos that can shave 𒁃off large chunks of your health in the blink of an eye.
While this is true, what if we told you that the ol' throw loop trick you may have used to reach him in Arcade mode also works on him? Well, fortunately, it does, you just have to be very careful if he techs your grab, as he can follow up with a wide range of options, blowing you up if you aren't careful.
Still, while the throw loops work, you should know what he's capable of, as they won't always work or be viable. And since losing to him even once in Arcade forces you to start your run all over, it's best to know what his moves are and how to counter them properly!
Nightmare Geese Moves
Move |
Description |
Counter |
---|---|---|
Hishou Nichirin Zan |
Nigh🃏tmare Ge🔜ese leaps into the air and performs a wide sweeping attack, forming a crescent shape in front of himself. |
Once you see Geese ꦉleap into the air, begin g🌸uarding, as he will be negative on block, allowing you to punish properly! |
Fudou Ken |
Nightmare Geese delivers a devastating strike with 🌳the palm of his hand, enabling him to follow up with a wide range of other options to ex🧸tend his combo or pressure. |
When Geese moves his൲ arm back, begin guarding to block his first palm strike. From here, keep holding back, then press forward just before his follow-up lands to get a Just Defend, allowing you to go directly into a Special Move! |
Reppuken |
Nightmare Geese sends a projectile across the ground that can vary in ﷽size and speed depending on the 👍version, making it an excellent way for him to control spacing. |
If your character has projectiles, you can use them to cancel them out,🦩 allowing you to use your REV Gauge to overpower them. However, he can do the same, so we advise jumping over them or Just Defending them! |
Shippu Ken |
Nightmare Geese launches a projectile while airborne, pushing him backward as he throws it, causing it to travel in a diagonal line. This makes it an excellent way t♛o control spacing while in the air. |
Run forward and guard just before it hits you to Just Defend it. Otherwise, dash backward and wait for it to hit the ground before advanci𝓡ng! |
Jyoudan Atemi |
A counterattack that lets Nightmare Geese counter all incoming 🐷physical aerial attacks and high/mid Special Moves. |
He will occasionally throw this action out when he's on the ground in an attempt to catch your incoming attack. Once you see him raise his left arm, you can toss♛💜 out a low attack for an easy Counter! |
Chuudan Atemi |
A counterattack that lets Nightmare Geese counter all incoming mid and overhead attacks, ha🍨ving him switch sides with his opponent for a full combo. |
Similar to the one ab🧸ove, Geese will assume a guard-like stance, shielding his face and upper body. When you see him do this, attack low for another easy Counter! |
Gedan Atemi |
A counterattack that lets Nightmare Geese counter al🍃l incoming physical low attacks. |
If you see Geese crouching while holding his arms up in✅ a guarding-like position, you cannot attack low, as he will parry it. So, unlike the previous ones, toss out a mid or🥂 high attack for an easy Counter! |
REV Blow |
Nightmare Geese walks forward and delivers a devastating punch before unleashing anot🉐her potent strike, while stil🥃l advancing forward with hyper armor. |
If your character has a good grounded REV Blow and you're in SPG mode, you can counter his with yours on reaction. Otherwise, the only way to beat it is with an invincible Gear Super or a well-timed gr✅ab, but we advise guarding through it, as it can be risky to try and stuff! |
REV Blow (Air) |
We have yet to see Nightmare Geese do his airborne REV Blow, 𒅌but once he does, we will update this to include what it is and how to deal with it! |
