Just a few weeks after his retirement from the Overwatch League, former Atlanta Reign DPS player Andrej "babybay" Francisty has signed with FaZe Clan for their VALORANT team. It's a match made for Babybay and FaZe Clan as the hitscan specialist fits right in with the brand and brings his impressive skills to a squad ready to compete at the top in VALORANT.
Babybay played Overwatch professionally since 2016 and went on to play in the Overwatch League for the San Francisco Shock in 2018 and the Atlanta Reign in 2019 and part of 2020 before he announced his retirement. He comes from Counter Strike background which makes a game like VALORANT all the more enticing f🔴or a player who made a name with his precision aim and larger thaꦍn life personality.
Babybay isn't the only former Overwatch player to switch games. Zachary "ZachaREEE" Lombardo and Corey Nigra both transitioned from the Overwatch League and signed with FaZe Clan as well. Add to the news today they also signed former Houston Outlaws player Shane "Rawkus" Flaherty, the FaZe Clan VALORANT roster has four of their players coming from Overwatch.
This FaZe Clan squad will have the opportunity to show the entire VALORANT esports scene what they are made of this weekend during the FaZe Clan VALORANT Invitational against 15 other squads. With a team of four former Overwatch pros, the FaZe Clan roster has the opportunity to show the esports world their talent in another game. This should be an exciting weekend with the new faces fo𒁏r the squad.
