EA Sports will debut its next-gen FIFA 21 trailer at t൩he same time as this week's Xbox Showcase preshow, and that might not be a coincidence.
The current generation of console is coming to an end. The PS4 and Xbox One have served us well, but by the end of the year, many people will have a PS5 or an 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Xbox Series X, or maybe even both. As exciting a𒅌s a transition between console generations always is, it poses a problem for developers who have games to release at this time.
A decision has to be made. Release the game for the current-gen, next-gen, or both? This time around, many developers 🐎are opting for both and offering up something pretty ๊cool in the process. Players can buy a game on their current console and be entitled to a free copy of the game on the next generation of the console if it is getting released on both.
Be warned, not every developer is offering this, but many of them are. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:EA Sports will do so for anyone who plays FIFA 21 on Xbox One or PS4 later this year. As for what FIFA 21 will look like on the next generation of console, fans will get their first♊ look at that on July 23, 2020.
Ultimate Team UK spotted that the first gameplay trailer for the next-gen version of FIFA 21 is set to drop on FIFA's YouTube channel at 11 am this Thursday. What is particularly interesting about the timing of the trailer's release is that it will line up perfectly with the start of the Xbox Series X Showcase's preshow. That has people wondering whether FIFA's allegiance is about to switch for the first time since FIFA 18.
While every FIFA since the PS2 and original Xbox has been released on both platforms, EA Sports tends to align itself with one console over the other. The past two FIFAs have been more closely affiliated with the PS4. If the trailer is a part of the Series X showcase, FIFA 21's alignment could be with Xbox. Last time this was the case via FIFA 17, Xbox received ♑exclusive Legends players that weren't added to PS4 until later and were instead labeled as Icons.
