This week I packed Prime Cafu. I can’t remember which pack it was exactly, but it was one of the mixed players ones from Marquee Matchups. I was only really doing them for the FUT Birthday Token and a chance of getting my hands on the new Suarez card for my 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Liverpool past and present team, but I got Cafu. World Cup winner, the greatest right back to ever play the game, t🐻he Brazilian Trent Alexander-Arnold. Cafu. But he actually presen🐼ts me with a bit of a problem.

I’ve just moved house and the internet hasn’t been set up yet, so I completed the SBCs and opened the resulting packs using the FUT app on my phone. This probably killed my hype a little - imagine seeing the white board come up in glorious 4K - but I was still excited. Prime Cafu.

I’ve used Icons before, but I’ve never packed one in five years of actively playing Ultimate Team. I’ve done SBCs, I’ve bought them from the Transfer Market, and I’ve opened Icon Packs, but never got one in a regular pack. Most player🌄s never will! In fact, I only found out that you could even get Icons in regular packs a couple of year🤡s ago. I’m more embedded in the online FIFA community now, so I see people’s flexes more often, but casual players could go their whole lives without knowing it’s a possibility.

Cafu’s Prime Icon card is great. With a 93 rating and links to every player in the game, he’s already brilliant, but his stats actually work well in FIFA, too. Some players - Steven Gerrard I’m looking at you - don’t translate to FIFA, and despite having good ratings, they just aren’t worth usi💎ng. I’ll still use my Icon Swaps on him, but he’s not going to pick my team up by the scruff of its neck and single-handedly win me and FA Cup finals in the way that the real man did. Cafu’s stats, th🎐ough - he’s got it all. Pace, balance, tackling, dribbling, passing, you name it. He can barely shoot, but he’s at right back, I don’t need him to. Sure, I’d love five-star skill moves and weak foot (and our man Marcos probably deserves it), but you can’t have it all. However, something’s been bugging me, and Cafu is giving me more problems than he’s worth.

Now I’m not complaining about packing an 800k Icon from a shitty pack, but allow me this. Wou꧅ld that value be better spent elsewhere? He’s tradeable, after all. Yes, he’s probably an endgame right back for my squad, but how important are the defenders in my formation anyway? I play them on stay back most of the time, so is all that value wasted when Alexander-Arnold does the same job but for 600k less? With 800k in my FUT account I could outright buy the FUT Birthday Suarez I’ve got my eye on. Sure, I’ve got plenty of strikers, but he looks really good.

There are more options. Can I start Cafu at right back but move him to a central defensive midfield role in-game? Would he even 💝work as a CDM? Is his uti🐠lity worth the asking price?

When I packed Cafu, he was worth around 800k on the Xbox FUT market. Two days later, it’s more like 650k. Whether that’s natural fluctuation or he’s dropping rapidly I’m not sure yet, but it puts a timer on my decision-mꦡaking and is pushing me towards a rasღh sell. I’ll certainly wait to see if his value bounces up again, but I’m leaning towards doing the unimaginable and cashing in.

I can’t believe I’m♍ even contemplating selling my first ever packed Icon, but it’s a very real option right now. That cash could revolutionise my team (or buy Suarez), but instead it’s sitting in a right back, and decreasing in value ever🥀y hour I spend agonising. I’m going to bide my time, panic-selling is not the best choice here after his value has already tanked so much. And besides, I want to get at least one Weekend League out of him before I cash in.
