FIFA Ultimate Team has always been a pack-opening simulator, and FIFA 23 is no different. The majority of the mode comes from maximising the packs you earn and the quality of their contents, at which point you’re randomly assigned players who may or may not fit or improve your team. FIFA 23 is the last entry of the series before its rebrand to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:EA Sports FC later this year, but the system looks set to♔ stay exactly the same so the developer can rinse its players for as much money as possible. The problem is, players aren’t getting what they paid for.
EA has mislabelled multiple packs and Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) over the past month, promising players incorrect rewards or forgetting to include some players in the packs altogether. Marco Verratti’s Team of the Year Moments card was left out of Ligue 1 TOTS FUT Champions Rewa🅠rds along with TOTS Sissoko and TOTS Ben Yedder, so EA was forced to give players new packs containing the correct contents. It wasn’t just that Verratti & co. weren’t in theꦅ packs, their appearance as a reward would have altered the weighting of getting other players, too. However, players receiving twice as many packs softened the blow of having a lower chance at TOTS Mbappe the second time around.
The same happened again a week later. FUT Champions packs for EFIGS pl𓆏ayers (players from the English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish top tiers) “included incorrect rewards” and compensation was again promised.
Just last week, the 92+ TOTS Or Shapeshifter Team 1 Players Pick SBC incorrectly contained TOTS Moments players. Agaiღn, this affects the chances of packing the advertised players. Players are still waiting for compensation for this pack, which was disabled when the issue was recognised and has since been re-enabled with the correct contents.
Neither SBCs nor FUT Champions rewards can be purchased with real money (converted int🅷o FIFA Points), but due to the fact that many players have spent money on the game and their teams, and put in countless hours of effort in order to earn these packs, compensation was necessary. Passively, if not actively, these mistakes cost players money. However, it gets a lot worse when you’re buying packs in the in-game store, potentially with real cash.
There have been multiple instances over the past months of packs in the store, which can be bought for the game’s premium currency, FIFA Points, having incorrect descriptions. The most common has been failing to acknowledge TOTS Moments players in the rewards, or missing the word ‘Loan’ from player picks. Loan players are only available to use for a set number of games – usually 7, 20, or 99 – and once they’re finished, the card is rendered unusable. They also can’t b꧃e bought or sold on the market and can’t be put into SBCs. Therefore, they are worth less than a regular player. When there’s real money on the line, failing to disclose that high-profile players are loans rather than full cards is a major oversight.
EA has promised players compensation for these packs, some of which h💝as been granted and some of which is pending. When TOTS players are so in demand, especially as necessary components for time-gated SBCs currently availabꦰle, the delay for compensation is becoming an issue in the community. However, while some get angry, others are gaming the system.
Players are now on the lookout for any mistakes in pack descriptions, and have spotted a couple of examples in pack translations in the store. On May 31, the German langu📖age description of a player pick consisting of three 92+ TOTS or TOTS Moments players failed to mention they were loans. The pack contained five of such player picks, so players whose language was set to German received compensation of𓃲 five ‘correct’ player picks per pack they purchased. This is one of the best packs a FIFA player could ask for, and the store price only taking into account loan players meant it was a comparative bargain. A week later, the same thing happened with the Polish translation of a similar pack.
Now players are keeping their eyes peeled on translations whenever new packs release. Twitch streamer ‘Rickth21’ broadcast that there was to the above in a Brazilian Portuguese translation of a pack description, encouraging players to buy the pack in order to receive compensation perceived more valuable than the m🦋oney spent. Some players have received compensation for this pack already, and others are still waiting two weeks later.
EA has that incorrect packs have been given to players on eight occasions over the last two months, since the start of the TOTS promo, and many are still waiting for compensation for some discrepancies. However, there are more anecdotal examples of incorrectly labelled packs circulating in FIFA communities – the Brazilian Portuguese packs, for instance &nda♑sh; which players are hoping for cಞompensation for.
EA is in a mess. There have been so many recent errors that some players even think that the developer is doing it on purpose, in order to stimulate more purchases in the game, despite the incredible value of the ‘mistakes’. Would hundreds of players rushing to buy a cheap pack make more money than a handful laying down the big bucks it would be worth? Only EA could say for sure. But its pricing structure has been consistent for years, and this undermines that structure. The only reason to undermine its own pricing structure and offer out such high rewards for ‘mistakenly’ cheap prices would be if things were due for a major shake-up in EA Sports FC, b🦩ut even then the seasonal reset would mean the new game could have a fres꧋h start no matter what happens in FIFA 23.
Compensated players have far higher chance🌸s of packing the biggest, rarest, and most expensive players in their ridiculous player picks, and thus have juiced up teams. It’s no wonder that players who turn up every year to start building a team from scratch are rushing to these error packs, to get more bang for their buck and build the best team they can before it all resets with EA Sports FC. But there’s no denying that it’s a messy situation with so much real money involved in the loot box gambles, and 🥀EA needs to clear this up before the rebrand next season.
