The Ronso tribe greatly values strength and so when Kimahri was young — being smaller in stature than your average Ronso — he was often picked on. The bullying culminated in one of his peers, Biran, snapping his horn off. Biran is a grade-A jerk, but at least you get to beat him up later in the game and earn back Kimahri's honor in the eyes of the Ronso tribe.

Unlike previous games in the series, which often traded on medieval fantasy tropes or sci-fi and its subgenres, much of Final Fantasy 10's design was influenced by South Asian and East Asian folklore and mythology.
Kimahri's character design, similarly, was possibly influenced by the Rakshasa — a mythical race of fanged and clawed warrior-magicians depicted throughout Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism. Regardless of Kimahri's actual usefulness in battles throughout the game, it's hard to deny he doesn't have one of the most intimidating looks about him.

7 But Is He A Blue Mage? 🍸
While Kimahri is set up to be the Blue Mage of the party throughout Final Fantasy 10 — no matter what, he starts with Lancet — he does also have a level of flexibility in terms of job-class, which isn't afforded so readily to other party members.

With Kimahri's Lancet ability, he is able to learn an assortment of moves from enemies. One of those moves is Self-Destruct. It is, as you might guess, rather self-destructive. 4 Kimahri And Wakka's Voice Actors Are More Than Just Bruddas
Regardless of Kimahri Ronso's popularity compared to the other characters in Final Fantasy 10, he does generally have a pretty cool vibe, and a nice, baritone voice, specifically. In English, the voice acting is done by John DiMaggio who is, in fact, also the voice actor for Wakka.
It's hard to tell — considering one hardly talks and one will hardly ever shut up — but DiMaggio does a great job with both characters, making them as unique as they are memorable.
3 Kimahri Speaks In Third Person...Except When Kimahri Doesn't
Speaking of speaking, Kimahri almost always only refers to himself in the third person. In real life, this would be extremely obnoxious, but it works well with Kimahri's stoic attitude and general guardedness.
He does, however, refer to himself in the first person on a handful of occasions. As you'd expect, these are serious moments and important scenes — when Kimahri stops referring to Kimahri in the third person, you know Kimahri means business.
2 Kimahri Is Still A𒈔 Boss — Of The Ronso, At Least
You might be aware that Final Fantasy 10 does not actually conclude the story of Spira and its characters. If you haven't played Final Fantasy 10-2, you should as it has one of the series' best battle systems. But before Final Fantasy 10-2, there is technically an extended cinematic cut scene that was also released: Final Fantasy 10: Eternal Calm. This cinematic was only ever 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:released in the West with the Fina🧔l Fantasy 10/10-2 HD remaster, but it provides 🐼crucial information that bridges the gap between the two games.
In the cinematic, you learn that Kimahri has not only returned to the Ronso tribe, he is in fact now their leader and referred to as their Elder. This is a little odd, considering he's only in his late twenties, but good for him, nevertheless.

Kimahri Ronso doesn't just become the boss of the Ronso tribe in the aftermath of Final Fantasy 10. he is, in fact, an actual boss in the game as well. In your first real encounter with the character after Tidus arrives in Besaid, you have to fight him. While it is ultimately a scripted battle and ends with Wakka telling Tidus and Kimahri to knock it off, the fact that it's not a random encounter arguably qualifies it for boss status.
Kimahri returns as a boss in Final Fantasy 10-2 as well, where you can fight him in the Fiend Arena. This is technically optional, but if you defeat him, you can even recruit him. He might not be the star of Final Fantasy 10 and 10-2, but he's a boss nevertheless.
