Good news for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy 14 fans. Sඣquare Enix has just announced that the closed Aether Data Center has been reopened to new players. On 🦋top of that, engineers have managed to scrounge up some server space so many other data centers are being moved from “congested” to “preferred.”
Final Fantasy 14's Aether Data Center, which serves North Americana audiences, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:closed last month following a surge in the game's player population. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:That surge started back in July thanks to the Endwalker expansion announcement and players searching for a new MMO after the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Activision/Blizzard scandal forced many off of World of Warcraft.
Square Enix was unprepared for the double flood of new players, leading to long login queues and the suspension of new character creation across the entire game. With Final Fantasy 14 doubling its concurrent player count on Steam, Square Enix had to scramble to find new server capacity while instituting policies 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:to keep AFK pl𝔍ayers from clogging up th⛎e game.
Those struggles continued for the better part of a month. To better handle server loads, Square Enix started publisꦿhing which servers were congested (resulting in long login queues) and which servers were somewhat less congested. The Aether Data Center, however, was so congested that Square 🎐had to suspend new player creation there to avoid capsizing the server.
Fast forward another month and it seems like Square Enix is finally getting a handle on Final Fantasy 14's player population. The Aether Data Center has been restored to full functionality as of today, which means player🦩s can once again create new characters there.
"Previously, all Worlds in the North A✤merican Aether Data Center were designated as Congested," Square Enix wrote in an update. "However, by having players create their characters on or change their Home World to a World in the North American Primal/Crystal Data Center, thꦯe stress of constantly maxed out World logins has been relieved. We truly thank you for your cooperation."
Several North A𒁃merican and Japanese servers have ❀been moved to "preferred" world status, which you can view on .
