However, all of our past adventures and tragedies pale in comparison to the Final Days. The events that bring about the Final Days are nothing short of cataclysmic. To understand the root of💮 what causes this, let's take a look at everythin🎀g we know about these fateful days.

What Were The First Final Days?
The Final Days as they occur in the present time of Endwalker were not actually the first time this event has happened. Looking back to the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Amaurot dungeon in Shadowbringers, Emet Selch creates a vision of the first Final Days in which the Amaurotines, or the Ancient Ones who lived in the city, were transformed into monsters as the world around them burned.
To understand the cause of the Final Days, we'll need to go back a bit further in time — when the Ancient Ones ruled the planet. In this period, the world of Etheirys, which we now know as simply Hydaelyn, was inhabited by beings known as the Ancient Ones, the most powerful of which were titled the Convocation of Fourteen. They lived nearly endless lives, and employed powerful creation magic, used to give life to new creatures and even Primals.
In the research facility and testing ground called Elpis worked an Ancient One called Hermes, who centered his work around the search for the meaning of life. To that end, he created a group of beings, the Meteia, led by Meteion, and sent them to the corners of the universe in search of the answer to the ultimate question: what is the meaning of existence?
The Meteia eventually returned, bearing the answer: life is meaningless. With this realization, the Meteia, who were created with the hopes and dreams of the very people of Etheirys, fell into the depths of despair and began drafting the veritable verses of the end of the world. Because of the suffering witnessed on planets innumerable, the Meteia thought it best to destroy the world and save its inhabitants from further despair.
Emet-Selch, leading the members of the Convocation, quickly worked to stop the Meteia, who had begun singing the song that would bring about the destruction of the universe. Emet-Selch devised a plan to combine their creation magicks to create the ultimate Primal, Zodiark. With the strength of the planet itself, Zodiark would be able to stop the calamity from occurring.
However, the summoning of Zodiark took a heavy toll on the planet; half of the Ancient Ones of Etheirys were sacrificed in his summoning. Due to the sheer power of Zodiark, his followers were corrupted by his vast Primal aether. Now, contending with both th♌e end of the world and the summꦐoning of the most powerful being in existence, one member of the Convocation made a choice.
Venat, and other surviving members of the Ancient Ones, decided to summon their own Primal, with Venat as its core. The newly summoned Primal, Hydaelyn, with the power of the remaining Ancient Ones, split the world into its Source and 13 reflections, thus dividing the power of Zodiark enough to seal him on the planet's moon.
Although Zodiark was imprisoned on the moon, and the Final Days seemed to end, this was only a temporary solution; the Final Days would occur again. Through this sacrifice, the Ancient Ones were mostly reincarnated into the races that now inhabit the planet, from Hyur to Hrothgar, and Hydaelyn encased herself in the Mothercrystal, leaving the hopes of their world for the future; for one in♛dividual who could save Etheirys from the Final Days.
What Were The Second Final Days?
Now, we move back to the pr🎃esent, where the Final Days resume.
As the Warrior of Light journeys through Eorzea, they repeatedly clash with the Ascians. These beings, whose primary goal is to rejoin the 13 reflections, thus restoring the full power of Zodiark, have been thwarted again and again by the Warrior of Light and Scions. This time, however, an Ascian known as Fandanial, who we learn is actually the Ancient One Hermes, hatched a different plan.
Using the Primal Anima to siphon the life force of the Garlean empire, Fandanial was able to generate enough power to break the seal on Zodiark's prison without rejoining the remaining reflections. In a climactic battle on the moon, Zodiark was freed and subsequently defeated, but the damage was already done. With Zodiark's escape, the Final Days had begun again, and with Hydaelyn stil🎶l in recovery, there seemed to be no solution.
However, the Scions were able to persuade the Sharlayan Forum to allow them to enter the Aitiascope, which is the closest point to the Aetherial Sea, and thus their only chance to contact Hydaelyn. By meeting a weakened Hydaelyn and passing her trial, the Warrior of Light gained access to her full power. Now, using the spaceship Ragnarok that was developed by the Sharlayans as means to escape the planet when the Final Days resumed, the Scions traveled to the edge of the universe in search of Meteion.
Arriving in Ultima Thule, the Scions battle their way through visions of dying planets, consumed with despair as Meteion heralded the true meaning of life. In the ultimate battle, the Scions defeat Meteion, ending her song of oblivion, and bringing a sure end to the Final Days.
