Earlier this month saw Bard groups across 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy 14 working together to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:create a concert like no other as they raised funds for those affected by the Turkey and Syria earthquakes. The communi💃ty group FFXIV Bards & Bands was the incredible team behind Eorzea Rescue, which saw over 30 bands performing to raise awareness and get people donating.

The original goal of raising $1,000 was smashed on the very first day, prompting FFXIV Bards & Bands to incre💛ase it to $3,000, and even this they sailed past by raising a total of $3,600 by the end of the event. U’whalon Sthah, who first pitched the idea for Eorzea Rescue, explains how they managed to raise such a considerable amount.

“The event turned out to be very popular, and the twitch streams, in particular, did really well,” U’whalon says. “The songbirds are one of the most popular bands, so having them on board for the event on Friday night helped massively. I couldn’t be happier with how the event went. The community’s response to the event was fantastic, with people ꦯc🌄oming from all over, whether watching the concert in person or the available Twitch streams. I cannot thank everyone enough for their support.”

FFXIV Bards & Bands community manager Kiwi also expressed their gratitude towards everyone who donated, particularly praising the bands for not only contributing their time to perform throughout the event, but also because ma🔯ny of them chose to donate money, too.

The team created a custom scrubs glam that they shared prio🍬r to the event so players could we༺ar them to show their support. The Doctors/Nurses parade, in collaboration with the Lalas of Light, was a highlight of the weekend that saw many characters in scrubs taking over the area in adorable fashion. This was one of Kiwi’s favourite moments, “Their leader Akae was super kind and supportive,” Kiwi says. “We'd never expected so many people parading with our outfits. We'd like to thank their team and all the participants that were there. They are super cute little bundles of joy.”

Things were so popular that the team unexpectedly clogged the area on Saturday when the Lala Parade took place, which caused a small minority of players to begin trolling the event. “We actually clogged the Limsa Lominsa City on the Zodiark server Saturday because of our whole day sitting,” Kiwi explains. “Some people with lower specs computers complained that they could not load the game properly, and I deeply apologize for the inconvenience.” Fortunately, the team had prepared🦹 a backup location.

I attended the event myself on both Friday and Saturday, and it was heartwarming to see so many players turn up to show their support, especially those in scrubs. It was great to watch as the donations flooded in, and Eorzea Rescue rocketed past its goals. It was hardly surprising as th🦂e impressive turnout meant the event was so busy that pockets of players were popping up wherever I moved. The bands that took part were all incredible, with an eclectic mix of sets that kept everyone on their feet, dancing the night away, and cheering each other on.

Kiss Everlasting and Corrin Dragonheart of Black Rose participated with their band Black Rose. Kiss explained how i🦋mportant the event was for her due to her own experiences, “We were happy to participate and contribute to such a cause. As a hurricane Katri🍌na and Rita survivor myself, I can relate to the trying times that those impacted by this natural disaster are now experiencing. We are honestly humbled and honored to be part of the amazing FF14 barding community that not only helps each other in-game, but comes together to support those in need in real-life as well!”

“It was amazing,” Jade Corlesupport of The Jaded says, “I am extremely proud of the community for the turnout and the amount of money raised over just a few days. It was very wholesome to see, and I am extremely thankful we could be a part of it. It really shows what this co🍌mmunity is capable of.”

“It was a great ple♈asure and honour for us to participate in such a great event for a good cause. We are proud that so much money could be raised and that we could make a small contribution,” Zelika of Happy Tunes says, “There have been a few big community events we've been invited to, and it's always a pleasure! In 2021 we played for FFXIV Communities Raising Money For World Cancer Awareness Month. A big highlight in 2022 was The Rejoining Ward Party with Zepla and Preach. In fact, there are many great bard events in Eorzea that take place regularly and have a loyal following.”

I’m often reminded of how incredible the FF14 community is when it pulls together for such a large-scale event like this, and speaking to different contributors made it clear how overwhelmed everyone was by the response to ℱEorzea Rescue, and how thankful they were for the hard work involved and all of the donations.

“I would just like to thank everyone involved in this event, from those who helped organize, such as Fus, Sam, Kiwi, and Ori, to all the bands who participated,” U’whalon says. “I would also like to thank The Songbirds for streaming the event on Friday, and Happy Tunes, who streamed the entire weekend — as well as any bands wh🤡o streamed the event — as without them, none of this would have been possible. A further special shoutout to Kiwi as well, who streamed all night on Friday, and then streamed the entire event on Saturday, including both the EU and NA sections of the event, in combination with helping out on the background organization.”

FFXIV Bards & Bands has lots of other events planned to look forward to. In addition to their regular bi-💟weekl🌸y, monthly, and seasonal festivals, they have the European Moonlight Festival by Zemla, the giant Bardfest by the Karma Cartel, and the Flash Mob with the North American equivalent, the Bard Bash. The next event in the diary is the Frühlingsfest that is taking place April 1-2. You can stay up to date with FFXIV Bards & Bands by.
