One of the things I love about being a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy 14 player is the outstanding fan community. I’m not just talking ab♊out in-game either, as the infectious community spirit spills out onto forums, social media platforms, and real-world events, giving Warriors of Light around the globe places to share their enthusiasm and creativity with one another.
In 2015, Square Enix added the Group Pose function — a photo mode that allows players to take screenshots ❀of their character, friends, and surroundings, with a multitude of features to adjust🤪 lighting, filters, add decorations, and more. With another way for players to unleash their artistic talents, it’s no surprise that Gposing, as Group Posing came to be known, has become incredibly popular.
“I enjoy taking pictures of glamours and special moments,” Nicole Eternalstar, an avid Gposer tells me. “Weddജings, birthday parties, and achievements, like a clear in an Ultimate or Savage raid. I think it's important to register the moment as if it were in real life. In times of Covid, these social moments became very important and so did the pictures! My friends always ask me to take the pictures, I'm like their official photographer.”
Encapsulating memories with pictures is something we do all the time in our real lives, so it seems only natural to apply the same logic to our virtual lives too. When I think back over the years and reflect on all the precious in-game accomplishments🥀 or times spent being silly with friends in Eorzea, I wish I had hit that screenshot button a little more.
A former fashion designer and current UX designer, it’s unsurprising that Eternalstar has two passions w🌳hen it comes to🐓 Final Fantasy 14 — glamors and Gpose. She started playing the game in 2014, and although Gpose was added the following year, she didn’t get to grips with it until much later.
“I didn't use Gpose at that time [2015], it wasn't very usual to stop everything and take a photo in the game,” Eternalstar says. “Also, I had no idea it was possible to make such cool pictures. Oh, if I only knew that! I started taking pictures in 2018 when my friend Marrot inspired me and taught me how to use the🍎m. We took a lot of pictures together and since then I haven't sto♋pped!”
Even seemingly small interactions with others can make the best memories, so it’s great that Gpose is encouraging players to record their adventures and share them with others. With all the different features you can play around with in Gpose, it allows you to get creative and craft beautiful shots that wou♑ldn’t be possible with the default screenshot function.
“I would say that what inspires me the most are the unique moments,” she tells me. “I enjoy recording in pictures what is happenin✅g around [me]. As an example, when my Lalafell friends were yelling around Lavender Beds, I used the /doubt emote to make them stop. Then I took a picture of it! It's so fun to register these little special moments in the game. I believe this inspires me to take dඣifferent screenshots.
“Another special moment was my wedding. My IRL boyfriend and I got married and had a big party. The Songbirds band did a show and we had fun all night long. I will remember this night forev𒁏er! A moment I regret not having registered was when I and my friends had a dance battle at a party! We faced another group and battled using dance emotes. It was unexpected and so epic!”

Eternalstar doesn’t just take screenshots of her own explo🎉its, but often enjoys taking pictures of others at social events, such as in-game clubs or parties. As the perfect Gpoꦯse shot takes more work than just grabbing a quick snapshot, achieving decent results in crowded places can be a challenge.
“I really enjoy going to parties like the Eternal Nightclub, All𝔉ure Lounge, and, once a month, the Sly Fox's WSLY party,” she says. “I usually go with a group of friends, sometimes we even make an alliance of 24 people! It's another side of the game and also super fun, where we can party out and social𒉰ize.
“I don't offer the professional Gpose service, but I usually take pictures of peopleꦕ that I don't know and share them on Twitter or Discord. A lot of people in the community do that, which is really cool! I really like to see new perspectives and techniques. Taking photos at parties is very challenging as there are so many people around. But it's totally worth it, since the pictures always look amazing!”
When yoꩵu look at some of the absolutely stunning screenshots that Gposers share, it’s difficult to resist the urge to load up the function in the game and try your hand at it, but players often find the system a little overwhelming. Eternalstar has some tips and tricks she uses to make her Gpose screenshots look amazing too, which she was more than happy to share. “The adjustments I usually do are to add brightness, contrast, and adjust levels and curves,” she says. “Also, I like to blur the background to make the photo's content stand out. I also like taking pictures on the green background panel at my house [in game], so I can crop and create new compositions.”
While Gposing seems to be difficult at first, Eternalstar has some extra advice that might help tooꦬ.
- Find a place you like that has good lighting, and turn your character towards the light.
- Play with emotes, expressions, and even skills. Keys 1 and 2 can pause the animation to help you find a nice pose
- Play with Gpose tools like zoom and rotate, plus you need to adjust the light: Eternalstar recommends increasing Character Lighting and using Lighting Settings Level 1 or 2Try the Bright Color filter to make the colors even more vivid, and play around with other filters
- Adjust the depth of field to add blur to the background.
If you try out Gpose and find your screenshots don’t seem to possess the same level of lustre as some of the shots you see posted by others online, don’t fret, it’s not that you’ve done anything wrong. Most Gposers touch up their screenshots afterward🍰 to give them that extra depth and really make them pop.
“You can touch your screenshots with image editors like Photoshop or Lightroom,” Eternalstar explains. “But there is a software plugin called Gshade soft🐷ware, which treats screenshots instantly. It is not necessary, anyone can take beautiful pictures without it. But it makes it much easier since you can see the results instantly, saving a lot of time. Also, there are many presets created by community members, which is awesome. My favorite presets are GlaceEorzea and Nen📖ekoColors. I highly recommend it!”
There’s always room for improvement and Gpose is no different. As well as players wishing it was a bit more beginner-friendly, there are lots of feat🌼ures that users wish would be added or changed to the system to make it even better.🔴
“The Gpose tool is very good,” Eternalstar says. “But to make it even better I would like to have the option to hide some characters, as sometimes they can be in front of🧔 someone. Taking pictures in crowded places, like parties, is pretty difficult! That would help a lot! Another idea would be to be able to take selfies! Nowadays we use the Gold Dance emote to emulate it, it's not practical. Also, it would be really nice to adjust the characters' expressions, since sometimes people don't use them. Would help a lot!”
With the launch of the new Endwalker expansion only a couple of weeks away, we can live in the hope that new Gpose features might soon follow. In the meantime, if you want to check out Eternalstar’s Gpose screenshots, you can f🍸ollow her on .
