At the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy 14 Fan Festival in Japan last weekend, producer and director Naoki Yoshida unveiled a s𒁏ingle piece of concept artwork for the forthcoming Final Fantasy 11-𝔍themed raid series, Echoes of Vana’diel. An image of a character that any FF11 player would immediately recognise: the Shadow Lord.
The Shadow Lord’s name was on my lips the minute that Yoshida announced the Vana’diel raid series at the London Fan Fest last year. While there have been many FF11 expansions and antagonists over the years, the Shadow Lord is a memorable antagonist players have had to test their mettle against, and I just knew he’d have to make an appearance.

Final Fantasy 14's Fall Guys Event Should Be A Permanent Part Of The Game
A🐼s December draws to a close, we'll have to say goodbye to the Fall Guys collaboration event in FFXI...🍸 for now...
This new raid series will be added with the launch of the Dawntrail expansion this summer. As someone who played FF11 for years, with it being my heyday of endgame grinding, I know it will be an emotional journey for me to progress through this raid. It doesn’t really matter what FF11 content is touched on, I’ll have my fair share of memories ready to bubble up and overwhelm me with nostalgia. FF11 was the first real MMO that captivated my attention, time, 🐼and heart. I’d dabbled in others like Dark Age of Camelot, but this was the first I played consistently and poured myself into.
I remember camping NMs (Notorious Monsters, rare bosses that spawn on set rotations) around the clock, even setting alarms for the middle of the night. My weeks were crammed with endgame events, and I spent countless hours farming and grinding for some of the rarest gear in the game. Despite 🧸all that and all the hours I spent running around Vana’diel, I never learned to keep a decent buffer on my jobs and often de-levelled when I bit the dust, but at the time I lived and breathed FF11.
Even though FF11 was still getting a smattering of ongoing🦩 content, though no longer significant expansions, I said farewell to my grainy Hume and hello to my much prettier but essentially the same character Hyur when FF14 came around. My friends were all jumping ship as well, so it felt like the proper time to say goodbye.
Last year, while reminiscing about the good old days, I decided to reinstall FF11. I had to dig out my old PlayOnline login information, install the whole shebang, and then excitedly log in, only to have an overwhelming sense of hollowness. I knew it wouldn’t be the same as when I played before, but it felt desolate. Searching for all players on the server yielded less than 1,000 players as a result. Back in the day, there’d be 5,000+ people online at any given time. Running around the empty maps felt depressing, and all my excitement🍒 about jumping back into the game soon faded away.
To dampen my enthusiasm further, I was struggling to remember everything. Where were the teleport NPCs? How do I get access to some of my inventory again? Where was all my gear? I lasted less than a day and nevꦇer fully figured out where all my gearset stuff was. My attempt♕ to relive my glory days, even for the smallest of moments, was a failure.
But that’s where the Echoes of Vana'diel raid series comes in. I’ve learned from experience now that I can’t recapture the magic and nostalgia of FF11 by returning to it. But I may get that same feeling and excitement by experiencing what FF14 has to offer to pay tribute to its predecess﷽or. Of all the many wonderful things that Dawntrail has to offer, Echoes of Vana'diel is the thing I am most looking forward to, and it’ll mark the first time I play a raid at launch, as I generally avoid trickier content where I will die often. It turns out some things never change. I still bite the dust often, but at least in FF14, you don’t delevel when it happens.
Final Fantasy 11 has changed a lot since I last played properly. It now allows players to solo through much of the content and has added other quality of life improvements so that eꩲveryone can still enjoy the game despite the dwindling number of players.

Final Fantasy 9 Remake Needs T💞o Be Far Less Ambitious🐲
If it's 🐼coming, Square Enix needs to do it right.
