To that end, we've assembled a list of Final Fantasy 16 side quests that are well worth doing. Their rewards range from great treasure, terrific secondary story beats, or even some blend of the two.

13 🐎 L𒉰aid To Rest

You can pick up the Laid to Rest mission just after you start the main quest “Brotherhood”. The quest can be picked up in t💛he Waloed region outside Eistla. As you reach the location and talk with the Wounded Royalist, he will ask you to bury his precious ring in t♋he Neverturn, alongside his family.

The quest finishes and rewards you with precious items, including Clutchmine and Meteorite. The quest is pretty easy to𒊎 complete and does not involve any battles, so it is recommended to collect the deserving rewards without much hassle.

12 Uninvited Quest ꦦ 🎃

After you initiate The Rising Tide DLC and arrive in Mysidia, there are plenty of new side quests for you to complete - including the Uninvited Guest. Some of the locals work at The Veil to make some extra money and provide for their people, b🔯ut one of the ladies gets too close to a client who follows her all the way back to her hidden home.

It's not a difficult quest, but it's refreshing to see just how far two people are willing to go for each other. The people of Mysidia originally thought an intruder was spying on them until Clive and the gang discover a love-struck Herve fighting for his life for the one he loves.

11 For Great Justice (I And II) ꦍ

Completing 'For Great Justice' is necessary in order to unlock 'For Great Justice II'. 'For Great Justice' can be started while you’re completing the 'Out of the Shadow' main quest. You can start it in Lostwing, where you have to talk with Quinten to know about the suspicious sightings in the area.

As you follow the leads, you find out that the Black Shields are behind this controversy. The quest will be completed once you take care of the shields and return to Quinten and solve the mystery. You'll receive one Black Blood, 50 Wyrrite, 50 Sharp Fangs, 500 EXP, 260 AP, and 20 Renown. You'll get some decent spoils en route to its completion, too.

'For Great Justice II' is only available once you've made it a fair way further into the story - 'A Song of Hope' onward. You'll battle a tough optional boss named Minas.

10 ꦚ Reign Of Pain

Not only does The Rising Tide feature a new campaign sta🤪rring the magnificent Leviat🥃han, but it also introduces a bunch of enemies for Clive to face - including a decent number of Tonberry. The Reign of Pain quest will require you to take down handfuls of these deadly enemies at a time before you ultimately confront one of the most dangerous foes in the expansion - the Tonberry King.

Your mission begins when a local man falls ill in the "What Ails You" side quest, leading you to believe he is suffering from some kind of curse. When he doesn't recover from the sickness right away, you'll eventually discover the "Reign of Pain" quest that leads you to even more Tonberry encounters and the eventual confrontation with the Tonberry King.

You'll also unlock 'Please Sir, Can I Have Some Morbol' during the main quest 'A Song of Hope', and will appear once you complete the 'Root of the Problem' side quest. To start the side quest, visit the backyard of the Hideaway and talk with Nigil. He will ask you to help him get some Morbol Vines, which can be obtained from the rare Carrot boss.

You can get the location of the Morbol Carrot from the Hunt board. Battling Carrot is a lot like battling any other Morbol, though at level 35, its attacks will sting all the more so. Use the same approa༺ch you tapped into for the previꦍous Morbols, and you ought to do fine.

8 ꧂ The White Winged Wonder ♉

The White Winged Wonder side quest has significance as it unlocks Ambrosia, the Chocobo mount for Clive. If you miss the mission, you will not be able to get a Chocobo for the rest of the storyline. You will get the side quest while during the 'Gathering The Storm' main quest.

Visit Martha's Rest and interact with Rowan the trader, where he will ask for your help to rescue some Chocobos from the poachers. Beware the Huntsman's attacks, but the rest of the gang won't trouble you overmuch.

The quest is quite simple and quick to complete and a great way to get a mount f✅or your collection. Plus, how can you not want to reunite poor Ambrosia with her human?

7 Blacksmith's Blues (I Through IV)

Blacksmith’s Blues is a series of four side quests which you can start during the 'Here Be Monsters' main mission. The quests are granted by August, who wants to resolve some matters with Blackthorne in the Hideaway.

After completing each quest, you will receive certain items that will help you throughout your storyline. Once you complete the 'Letting Off Steam III' quest, you will get an option to pick up 'Weird Science'. This side quest will grant you a Treated Potion Satchel that increases the potion capacity in your inventory, making it well worth making the time for. Visit the Mid's Dungeon and talk to Owain the Engineer, who will ask you to deal with Bomb King.

You can track the King’s location through Hunt Board. The battle with Bomb King is not 🐭very hard if you know the right strategies. Just make sure to track the boss’s movement and the attack he’s about to perform, so you can react accordingly and defeat him effici🐲ently. The Bomb King is located in Sanbreque, not far off the Imperial Chase.

5 🐎 The Water Of L𒐪ife

Likely the final side quest you'll tackle in The Rising Tide, The Water of Life acts as a proper conclusion to the DLC and even manages to tie in characters from the other expansion - Echoes of the Fallen. It's a fantastic series of events that puts a nice bow on Final Fantasy 16's final chapter.

After defeating Leviathan and saving Waljas, Shula informs you about a local tradition that needs to be held to welcome the child back to the community. Clive and Shula travel to three distinct locations to gather the necessary resources before holding the ritual in front of all of Mysidia. It's truly a happy ending, a rare event in the grim world of Eikons and Dominants.

The 'Payback' side quest will be available during the 'Out of the Shadow' main story quest, and starts as you read the letter from Guate left in Clive’s chamber. The letter has the subject line "Off the Record." Guate tells you in the letter that he needs your support to give payback to ledgers that have been bothering him. Completing the quest will grant you Cid’s Goblet for the Wall of Memories.
