Final Fantasy 16's first gameplay trailer has been revealed at PlayStation's June State of Play, as well as a release window of Summer 2023.
After more than a year of waiting for new information, we've finally got another look at Final Fantasy 16. The trailer started with producer Naoki Yoshida thanking fans for waiting so long. Yoshida announced that interviews with the media will also be starting following the trailer, so more information can be expected in the near future.
As many had predicted, Final Fantasy 16 looks like it's going to take a lot of cues from third-party action games. The combat shown here is somewhere in the middle of Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Devil May Cry. Clive is seen using attacks that draw opponents up into the air for combos before slamming to them to the ground with a big glowing fist.
Another theory that the gameplay trailer seemed to confirm is that Clive will be the only playable character in the game and that traditional parties are seemingly not featured. Every shot of gameplay only shows Clive's health bar, although he is seen fighting alongside some characters and some boss fights seem to let the player control summons.
Clive also seems to be able to make use of various summons as he fights. The upper left side of the UI shows symbols that seem to represent different summons like Shiva, and it seems like Clive is able to use moves that correspond to those summons, such as using ice attacks to🌠 freeze enemies. Interestingly, the gameplay trailer also showed off that boss battles will be a lot more cinematic than before, with cinematic camera shots and big health bars that are almost reminiscent of fighting games.
The description for the trailer reveals that the EiIkon will be a big part of the game's story. It reads, "It breaks us—it unmakes us—that its immaculate aspect might reveal itself. The Eikon".
The trailer ended by revealing that Final Fantasy 16 is coming Summer 2023, expelling the rumours that it was going to release this year and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:move Forspoken out of its current release d🔯ate.
