The Behemoth is one of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy's most classic monsters, often appearing as a boss or endgame-level monster. There are three Behemoths in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy 16, and each one is a significant threat to Clive's life.
You'll first encounter this beast at Drake's Spine, the final typical stage level in the game. Here, it's a climactic boss that sets the tone by calling meteors down on top of you. The other two Behemoths are optional but are thrilling and satisfying fights in their own right with great rewards, so it's well worth seeking them out when they are unlocked.
How To Beat The Behemoth
You'll face this Behemoth at the beginning of Drake's Spine, and it's a doozy. It has some brutal attacks, listed below.
Attack |
Description |
Pounce |
The Behemoth readies itself like a cat and leaps across the battlefi𒁃eld to your location. This acts as a gap-closer as well as a very po🔯werful attack. Dodge at the last second to get a Precision Dodge. The Behemoth doesn't have to be far away from you to use this attack, so be careful. |
Spinning Swipe |
The Behemoth makꦺes a large-radius spinning attack. This attack is deceptively large, so if you're not confident that you can dodge right through it, dodge backwards. |
Comet |
The Behemoth summons multiple comets to strike you from the sky. These will be indicated obviously, an🌜d will emit shockwaves when they hit the ground. This attack is usually overlapp𓆉ed with Meteorain (see below). To avoid damage, get out of the comet indicators as they appear, leap over the shockwaves. This is such a hectic attack that you should probably stop trying to attack until it's over. |
Meteorain |
This attac🐻k summons portals in the air that fire smaller comets at your general location🎐. This attack is usually used to overlap with Comet, but the Behemoth stops using it in the later stages of the fight. |
Smash |
The🗹re are two versions of this attack - a si꧙mple smash from above and then a sideways, horizontal smash. The Behemoth will only use this attack when you're right in front of it, so you should be well aware of when you'll have to dodge it. Just dodge through it for some easy Precision Counter action. |
Headlong Rush |
The Behemoth falls on its side and th𒁃en uses its back legs to propel itself forward at you. Th✃is is a surprisingly fast attack, so be ready to dodge to survive if youꦓ cannot simply run out of the danger zone. |
Maelstrom |
The Behemoth summons a dark ꦅswirling vortex on the ground that turns into a𝔉 full tornado after a while. The vortex tracks your location for a while before stopping to create the tornado. It is very important to move out of this attack when it appears. If you get caught in the maelstrom, you'll have your HP reduced to single digits. |
Tail Swipe |
The Behemoth raises the leg closest to you and then swings the back half of its bo𓆉dy at you, tail included. If you're fighting Behemoth from the back, simply be aware of this attack and its indicator. |
Thunderstorm |
The Behemoth's eyes will glow white, before it summons multiple lightning strikes to fall in your general location. Some of the strikes will be summoned directly at you. When this attac💎k starts, stay aware of the lightning indicators and dodge out of the way if 🐻necessary. |
Meteor |
The Behemoth summons a r𒅌a⭕in of fiery meteors that all create an expanding circle of damaging fire when they hit the ground. Keep an eye on the damaging 🌺zones and try to dodge into a safe zone. This may be very difficult or impossible, depending on your positioning. |
After dealing enough damage to Stagger the Behemoth once, it will use Ecliptic Meteor. This will begin a cutscene in which you must successfully pass two Cinematic Clash prompts.
When it gets very low on health, the Behemoth will become extremely aggressive, barely giving you any chance to get damage in before it starts another dangerous attack. In addition, it will likely start weaving together Maelstrom with Comet, making things very dangerous.
For this reason, it's a good idea to use as many techniques to inflict consistent damage as you can. Bahamut's Impulse can be used and forgotten about, Will o' the Wykes is the same and also has defensive applications, and Giga Flare's ab🧔ility to slow time down while attacꦰking makes it easy to use.
This also makes equipping Garuda a good idea - even if you don't use either of the slots of Garuda's abilities, Deadly Embrace's ability to bring down a partially staggered Behe💟moth for a great easy-damage window is fantastic.
When you deplete the Behemoth's health bar entirely, it will use one final move before dying for good. Extinction summons a massive meteor to crash into the battlefield, damaging a large radius. As long as you know the attack is coming, it's very easy to move out of the radius before the attack hits.

How To Beat The Kuza Beast
You'll be prompted to fight this beast during the side quest Nobody's Tool. After exploring the prison in Waloed and picking up all the clues, you'll be able to confront the Kuza Beast in the central arena.
The Kuza Beast fight is largely similar to the regular Behemoth fight, but there are some differences. Mainly, it doesn't use any of the Behemoth's special attacks apart from Comet, which it doesn't follow up with Meteorain.
The Kuza Beast does have upgraded physical attacks, though, with its overhead and horizontal smashing attacks being performe🌊d twice in quick suc𝄹cession instead of only once.
Overall, you can consider this an easier version of the Behemoth fight with no cutscenes, no Maelstrom or Thunderstorm attacks, and no Extinction to threaten your victory.
For winning, you'll receive the following rewards immediately as the Kuza Beast is considered a Notorious Mark:

5,500 |

♎After beating the Kuza Bea🍸st, you can go complete the quest.
How To Beat The Behemoth King
Like the Kuza Beast, the Behemoth King is a Notorious Mark found in Waloed and can be fought after completing the events at Drake's Spine. You'll find this fight right in the north of the area, near the Vidargraes Obelisk.
While you can consider the Kuza Beast a lighter version of the regular Behemoth, the Behemoth King lives up to its name. It has more attacks than usual, detailed in the table below.
Attack |
Description |
Four Horsemen |
The Behemoth King su💖mmons four comets around it, forming the four corners of a square. These will all emit a damaging shockwave. While it's possible to position yourself and jump at the right time, using Garuda's Deadly Embrace to lift Clive into the air constantly for the duration of the attack is a far safer way to avoid damage. |
Reign of Fire |
The Behemoth King summons mul♏tiple lines of comets in rows ahead of him, which will then expand into large damaging zones. This happens twice in a row, with the rows of meteors moving over for the second strike. There will be nar🥀row safe zones between the danger zones; try to find a space in the middle of four comet strikes. Once you survive the first barrage, quickꩲly move to a second safe zone. |
Apocalypse |
This is the Behemoth King's ultimate attack and involves the following attacks used in quick succession: Meteorain, Reign of Fire, Four Horsemen, and then Extinction. |
These new attacks are quite difficult to anticipate on their first uses, but you should be able to predict them comfortably afterward. Apart from these new attacks, it's also useful to note that the Behemoth King likes to use Meteorain irresp༺ective of whether it has just used Comet, so you should always be on the looko✃ut for stray meteor projectiles.
The mark will only use Apocalypse once it's very low on health, and as with all similar ultimate attacks, you can get some easy damage in on it during its recovery phase once the attack ends.
Overall, the Behemoth King is a flashy fight, but by this point in the game, you should be able to handle it effectively. Consider using Stoneskin Potions to dampen any stray hits, andꦛ anticipate Apocalypse when you get close to victory.
For winning, you'll receive the following rewards:
