Finding Survivors
It won't be long from the beginning of the stage before you encounter your first enemies. After leaving the alleyway you start in and heading underneath a canopy, you'll face some Orcs, who shouldn't provide much resistance. Cross the bridge to then fight some Waloeder Akashics.
One of the Akashics is a Tognvaldr, the Waloeder's version of a ninja. If you want a refresher on dealing with these 🍌enemies, clic✅k here.
Make sure you defeat the spellcaster before going after the Tognvaldr, or he'll probably get some annoying hits in with his ranged spells as you're trying to focus.
A little further into the stage, you'll see a large group of Orcs and Akashic. If you spent all your best abilities on the previous fight, it may be worth waiting at the top of the stairs and letting them recharge before diving in.
The spellcasters here cast Protect - take th𝔉em out as soon as possible t🍌o simplify things.
Open the nearby gate and then climb the stairs ahead to come to the next pack of enemies, which includes some Royal Mastiffs and an Akashic Sveithvaldr - a brutish axe-wielder.
Continue on, defeating the enemies as you go. When you reach a very large square filled with foes and a gate to open, make sure you check the wall to the right of the gate for a chest that contains 2,000 gil.
Through the gate, you'll fight two waves of Orcs, with an Orcish Warlord appearing after the first wave is depleted. Beware of itsꦕ ranged attacks and ability to teleport.

Press on, opening the chest in the next area to get The Favor of Light (Flare Breath). You'll face Wraiths in the next area, followed by Revenants, Specters, and then then the boss of the stage.
