However, with his ranged attack, and higher-than-average attack power, The Ten Of Clubs can most certainly present a tangible threat. Thankfully, with th🎶e right approach, you will be able to manage this threat without too much trouble. Follow our advice and we are certain you will emerge victori🍎ous.

The table below will break down the various attacks employed by The Ten Of Clubs - the attacks in italics are named attacks that appear on-screen, so you can look out for them specifically.

Attack

Description

Spin Slash

The Spin Slash is an absolute staple of this enemy type. It ta🍎kes the form of a spinning attack which includes two sections. This attack is far-reaching and quite damaging. While it is relatively predictable🎀, you will need to precision block both parts of it separately.

Peine Forte

This attack is unique to The Ten Of Clubs. When performing this attack, he will bring his axe down, causing earthquakes to erupt all over the battlefield. The Peine Forte acts a little like the Imperial Champion's attack where they create a linear beam of light, however, unlike that move, the earthquakes will appear all around.

Your best approach is to precision dodge this attack and sprint behind the Ten of Clubs, as he never seems to cause the ground behin🎀d his to erupt.

Execution

When the Ten of Clubs uses this attack he will roar, glow blue, and then launch ♚a four-hit combo. Unlike his other slashes, the attacks in this combo are quite quick.

We recommenꦕd keeping your distance for the first three hits. The fourth attack will see the Ten of Clubs leap backward, before lunging forward with a giant overhead swing. Precision block that final hit and then lay into him with the counter-attack follow-up combo.

Final Fantasy 16,The Ten Of Clubs, Duffing the Ten Of Clubs with a Precision Block Counter

So, first and foremost, The Ten Of Clubs comes equipped with a litany of long-ranged, heavy slashes. All of these are slow, and they are easy to block. For that reason, we strongly recommend that you have the Titan Eikon equipped whenever possible.

At this point in the game, you will likely be pretty familiar with The Ten Of Clubs' Spin Slash. This is the most familiar of his attacks. However, the thing you may not be prepared for is how hard it can hit. Even if you encounter The Ten Of Clubs later in the game, when you over-leveled, he still packs one hell of a punch. We would still recommend using the precision block to absorb the swings of the Spin Slash. It is slow e🐎nough that you should be able to time it pretty easily, just make sure to block both swings.

While we do think it is worth going for the precision block, this is primarily because it gives you those follow-up strikes, which will very quickly wear The Ten Of Clubs down, giving you more staggers. If you are struggling with the timing, you can always just rely on the precision dodge, that will work fine, it will just cause the battle to last a little longer.

Final Fantasy 16,The Ten Of Clubs Hunt, The Peine Forte

The biggest complication you will encounter in this battle is the Peine Forte attack. This will cause the ground to consistently erupt. Thankfully, the timing for these eruptions is pretty easy to tack down, and the ground pulsates just before it erupts. Use these cues to precision dodge and launch yourself directly at The Ten Of Clubs. He will be vulnerable for quite some time aft♚er using this attack, so take advantage and land your biggest attacks.

Final Fantasy 16,The Ten Of Clubs, Clive using his precision block to disrupt the Ten Of Clubs

Finally, once you get The Ten Of Clubs' health down around halfway, he will start to use his Execution attack. This has a pretty notable tell where he will raise his arms above his head and yell before launching into this quick combo. Even if you miss the startup animation, his attacks will all glow blue, making it hard to miss. The first three attacks are all one fast combo, the fourth will see The Ten Of Clubs take a hop backward before lunging forward. You are going to precision block this final hit. After he has taken his four hac🐟ks, he will be left in a vulnerable s🐲tate. So, take advantage and make him pay.

During the final stage of the battle, The Ten Of Clubs will start using both his Execution attack and his Peine Forte attack at the same time. This will make the battlefield considerably more hectic. You will probably want to focus less on precision blocking 🥂at this point and start utilizing the enhanced mobility of your precision dodge. However, he will still be vulnerable once the Execution combo subsides. So get in there and land your attacks.
