- The Mist Dragon's gimmick is to turn into a pool of mist every now and then. If attacked while in mist form it will counter with a heavy-hitting attack.
- Avoid attacking while the dragon has turned into mist and use this time to heal up with Potions if necessary.
- This is a very easy battle of attrition, you can use any attacks consistently and win.

There are two ways to win this fight:
- Defeat the General, and the Baron Soldiers will kill themselves.
- Defeat the Baron Soldiers and the General will run away.
- Since the General's ability is to order the soldiers to attack, the best strategy is to defeat two of the soldiers and then go for the General.
If the General escapes, you will get less EXP from the fight.

- Antlion's strategy is based on counterattacks. Whenever it is struck by something damaging it will attack a random party member.
- To deal with this, avoid attacking if any of your party members are low on health.
- Avoid attacking with Edward at all and make him a healer - he will not have the damage output to make up for Antlion's counters.

- The battle will begin with a single Mom Bomb in its dormant form. It doesn't have extremely tough attacks, so keep your party healed and just carry on as normal.
- Once you've dealt around 1,500 damage to the Mom Bomb, it will swell up - this is its indicator that it's going to explode. Make sure your party is healed up as much as possible at this point. The explosion will do a fair bit of damage.
- After exploding, the Mom Bomb will leave behind three Bombs and three Gray Bombs. They are easy to deal with all at once if you use multi-target spells and Yang's Kick attack.

- This battle isn't too tough as long as you take out the Skullnants quickly and before they overwhelm you. An easy way to do this is with the Fira spell cast on the entire enemy party.
- Scarmiglione will counter attacks with the Thunder spell, so avoid attacking if anyone is severely low on health.
Once you have beaten Scarmiglione, be sure to heal up and swap the rows of your party for the next fight (detailed below).

- This fight will always be a back attack so make sure you have your rows swapped. Cecil should be set to the back row and the others to the back row - that way, they will be in their correct places when the fight starts.
- Scarmiglione can attack with status effects, but they aren't too brutal. Keep Tellah on healing duty to deal with anything nasty such as Poison or Silence, though.
- Your best damage dealers for this fight would be Palom with Fira and Porom with Holy Arrows and the best bow you have.

Dark Knight
- This is a gimmick battle. To win, you must not attack.
- Use Defend every chance you get unless you need to pop a Potion. After a few rounds, the Dark Knight will say that you have passed the test and Cecil will become a Paladin.

- Baigan's arms are very annoying enemies that will regenerate if you get rid of them before Baigan's body. They will, however, only regenerate if both of them are killed, so getting rid of one of them will take the pressure off you.

Tellah and Palom will be your best damage dealers for this fight with their best spells, but Baigan will counter spells by casting Reflect on himself.
- To counter this, have Tellah cast Reflect on one of your party members. Now, target them with your powerful spells (such as Bio), and they will be reflected onto the enemy party.
- Note that this strategy will not let you choose your target and you may end up destroying the arms instead of Baigan.
- Remember that you will not be able to use healing spells on a character with Reflect, so use items to heal them up.

Cagnazzo has three forms: Normal, Tides, and Shell.
- When he is in his Tides form there will be water swirling around him. This means he is about to use his powerful Tsunami attack. Hit him with a Lightning-elemental spell to break him out of it.
- Cagnazzo will withdraw into his Shell form after taking a lot of damage. He will start healing himself and stop being weak to Lightning. When this happens, switch to Ice-elemental attacks to finish him off.
