Despite being an early entry in the series, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy 4 had its fair💙 share of side quests, secrets, and grindy time༺ sinks. One of these is the quest to acquire the Adamant Armor, the best set of body armor in the entire game.
This will be one of the last things you do in the game if you can even bear to🧸 s🍒tick with the arduous process. It involves lots of luck and annoying battles, but perseverance will reward you with a snazzy armor rating.
Updated April 24, 2023: The Adamant Armor is one of the best pieces of armor in FF4, and with the Pixel Remasters being more accessible than the original game, it's now a far less annoying grind. We've updated this article for readability and accuracy.
How To Get A Pink Tail
Just like getting the Mythril re🃏quired to forge the Excalibur, getting the Adamant Armor requires that you find a rare tail and trade it to the tail trader on the island near Mythril. You need to find a Pink Tail this time, but there are some problems with this.
- The Pink Tail is dropped only by Flan Princesses.
- Flan Princesses can only be encountered in one room in the entire game.
- Of the random encounters on this map, only one in 64 will have a Flan Princess.
- The Pink Tail has a one in 64 chance of being dropped.
So... not good odds.
Princess Flans are found only in this room in the Lunar Ruins - the game's final dungeon, situated on the moon. It is found at the bottom of the series of maps that involve making your way down various ladders against a black background.
You'll know you're in the right room when you arrive in a tiny room with only a single chest inside it.
While these monsters only appear a staggeringly low amount of the time, there is one way to force an encounter with them. If you use a Siren, you will immediately enter a battle with five of these royal jellies - the encounter with the highest chance of dropping a Pink T♛ail.
In the Pixel Remaster, Sirens can be bought at the Namingway shop on the moon - the𒈔re is no need to farm them in time-limited zones anymore.
Flan Princesses are relatively annoying enemies to fight. They can inflict the Berserk status, and they are quite bulky. The best strategy is to have Rydia use Bahamut constantly while Rosa stands by to heal and the others use physical attacks.
Give your mages Ribbons if you have them to prevent Berserk affecting ♌them.
For fun: Turn the music up! Flan Princesses have a special script function that changes the battle music! This adds some variety to the gಞrind, at least.
When you are low on MP, there is a secret save point nearby where you can use Tents or Cottages. From the Flan Princess room entrance, head down one screen and then take the staircase on the left. An invisible walkway leads to a secret path behind a wall. Follow this path and the subsequ🌄ent 🀅teleporters to find the save point.
It may take a long time to get your Pink Tail - that is normal. Once you have it, however, it's time to move on to the next step.
How To Get The Adamant Armor
Now that you are victorious and finally have your treasured Pink Tail, there is just one more step before you have your true prize. You need to head back to the planet - use Rosa's teleport to leave the Lunar Ruins quickly.
Head to the island of Mythril and use the Hovercraft to enter the cave to the southeast. Remember that you must be using the Highwin🥃d to move the Hovercraft around, not the L🉐unar Whale.
Inside, you can trade any🐽 Pink Tails you have for a set of Adamant Armor.
It's the best armor in the game - iIt provides 100 defense and protection against all elements and status effects, and can be equipped by all five of your party members - do you have the patience to farm five Pink Tails?
