The Excalibur Side Quest
This side quest has three stages and can be completed as soon as you get your airship upgraded to be able to attach the Hovercraft to it. There are three steps that you must take:
- Acquire the Rat Tail in the Land of Summons.
- Trade the Rat Tail for the Adamantite.
- Use the Adamantite to make Excalibur.
How To Get The Rat Tail
The Rat Tail is a Key Item that can be found in the Land of Summons. This location can be accessed as soon as you have an airship capable of trav💙eling over the lava in the Underworld.
While exploring this settlement, you will find a chest that can only be accessed by stepping onto a telep🌺orter, immediately teleporting back, and then moving down towards it. This chest has the Rat Tail in it.
While you are here, don't forget to fight Asura and Leviathan to acquire them as summons!
How To Get Adamantite
To get the Adamantite you must trade the Rat Tail to a tail collector. This can be done as soon as your airship is upgraded to be able to attach the Hovercraft to it. Take the Hovercraft to the island that has the town of Mythril on it and th൩en travel across the shoalဣs to the nearby cave.
Inside you will find th♐e Tail Collector who will happily trade the Rat Tail for a chun🎉k of Adamantite.
How To Get The Excalibur
Now that you have the Adamantite, head back to the Underworld and travel to the small house in the southeast of the map. This is Kokkol's Smithy.
Head upstairs inside this house and talk to Kokkol who is in his bed. He will ask for the Adama♔ntite - give it to him and he will forge Excalibur for youಞ!
PLEASE NOTE: This side quest does not simply give you Excalibur, but upgrades the Sword of Legend that you received when Cecil became a Paladin.
