168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy VII Remake ꦐis here! It’s hard to believe but the dream has finally been realized after many delays and revisions to the project. Well, part one is here at least.
That said, the original game still has many mysteries left to uncover as well. In honor of the remake’s launch, let’s look at some facts not everyone knows about this momentous RPG. Fro🙈m cut content to the original idea, these facts will make any fan do a double-take.
10 Before The PS1 ཧ
Ther♈e are two versions of test footage for the game prior to it being developed on the PS1. Up above is a 2D engine that looks like albeit with slightly taller and more detailed sprites.
Then there was the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:interactive tech demo showcasing Locke, Shadow, and a female, who is probably Celes, fighting a Golem. Based on the models, they actually look like how Wild Arms turned out, another classic, early, PS1 RPG.
9 T🐭hree Or Four Discs? ♎
Sometimes when games are released overseas, the western versions get extra content. In Final Fantasy VII’s case, the west got t♛wo big additional quests, ♓Ruby and Emerald Weapon.
This version was then re-released in Japan as Final Fantasy VII International and continued to add and change stuff. The biggest addition was a fourth disc where players could look at detailed images of nearly every item in💯 the game. Also on the fourth disc was beta footage of the game.
8 ൲ Compilation Of Final Fantasy VII 🌱
In celebration of its five year anniversary and continuing on into its 10th, the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII was revealed in 2003 with the film, Advent Children. From there, there was also a Japanese exclusive mobile game starring the Turks in a prequel known as Before Crisis.
Crisis Core was another prequel, this time on the PSP and starring Zack. Finally, Dirge of Cerberus took place after the game and was a P♈S2 shooter starring Vincent. Will these be incorporated into the remakes in some way? Or are they destined to be forgotten to time?
7 💧 Final Fantasy X-2’s🌄 Shinra
When Shinra appeared in Final Fantasy X-2, most brushed it aside as a reference. After all, none of the games are supposed to be connected. However, a fan theory emerged connecting the two unꦉiverses and, in 2018, one of the series' producers, Yoshinori Kitase, confirmed this theory.
The interview was conducted by on YouTube and asked if Final Fantasy VII and shared worlds. "A little" was Kitase's response, which is at least something. Fan theories speculate that Shinra went on to create the company, making the Final Fantasy X games prequels to Final Fantasy VII.
6 Ties T൩o Yakuza 𒉰
No, not the real world crime organization. In the Yakuza series, the games primarily take place in the made-up city of Kamurocho, which is partially based off of Kabukicho in Shinjuku. In that same , Kitase also pointed out that the Wall Market is🔯 based on Kabukicho.
The interviewer's question was actually about if Final Fantasy VII to🔯ok place in a ruined state of Japan, so not quite the answer they were hoping for.
5 Anc🏅ient Siblings
In issue 1224 of the Japanese gamiܫng magazine , Tetsuya Nomura, one of the game’s artists at the time before rising in Square’s ranks, said that Sephiroth and Aeris were planned as broth🎐er and sister. This then morphed to him being Aeris’ first love, which was then left to Zack instead.
However, in that Kitase , the same question was asked and he said they weren’t supposed to be related. There is probably truth in both of these responses and showcases how things can change over time. One can see, perhaps, Sephiroth’s more feminine qualities in the scrapped ♏art above.
4 More ꦕThan Aerith 𒀰
Another great interview every Final Fantasy VII fanatꦜic should read is , w⛄ritten in 2017. There are a lot of interesting behind the scenes details shared by key members of the staff.
One of the most interesting revelations was that Kitase wanted to kill off all b⭕ut three characters when the team parachuted into Midgard. Players would have chosen who to save and take into the end. Thankfully, the team did not go along with this idea.
3 ಞ Detective Joe 🍎
That same piece also goes into early concepts. Final Fantasy VII was💮෴ going to take place in a fictionalized New York City. It would star a detective named Joe.
While this did not pan out, early artwork for Midgar does look very inspired by the real-world city. On that note, the idea would later be revisited for what Parasite Eve would eventually become.
2 ܫ Cut Content
There is a lot of cut content still in the game’s code. For example, hacking into it will reveal more rooms in the Honey Bee Inn. There was also a quest to deliver some letters f🍎or a salesman in Gongaga to Kalm.
There are even cut items like Materia. Booster was a pi♉ece of Blue Materia that some speculate would have boosted AP experience. The list goes on as the contents could fill several articles.
1 Aerith Liᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚᩚ𒀱ᩚᩚᩚves?
On the subject of cut content, many gamers wished there was a way to bring Aerith back. There was never a real way to ♌bring her back or even a planned one. However, cut dialogue suggests she may have died later in the game.
When players get lost 🍷in the snow maze, there is a scene where Aerith says, “I’m sick of this.” This could just be some dummy dialogue, or maybe she indeed was going to die later. This area could have also been originally planned to ✅be earlier in the game.
