's director, Naoki Hamaguchi, has revealed how Cait Sith plays in a recent preview, confirming that he'll still have luck-based abilities.
One of the most exciting things about Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is that it's making two new characters playable - Red XIII and Cait Sith. We already have a pretty good idea of how Red XIII plays after seeing him fight alongside the party in Final Fantasy 7 Remake, but Cait Sith is a bit more of a mystery and a surprising character to have added to the game in the first place (especia🐼lly with somജeone as popular as Vincent Valentine on the sidelines).

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s Crow’s Nest Could Be💧 The Key To Everything
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will be far more open than Remake,💙 and that makes these stop🌳s along the way all the more crucial to get right
, and managed to get some pretty big details out about the game, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:like the length of the main campaign, more information on the game's big death scene, and teases about one scene that will apparently blow players' minds. Game Informer also got some interesting details about Cait Sith, in꧂cludin🔥g another take on how his name is pronounced and how he plays.
For those that don't remember, in the original release of Final Fantasy 7, Cait Sith had some unique gimmicks that were based on luck, namely his Dice and Slots Limit abilities. Although these moves were powerful and could feasibly wipe out enemies in one hit if the player got lucky, they could also kill the whole party and result in a Game Over. For those reasons, Cait Sith was a bit of a wild card that didn't always resonate with players.
While it seems like Cait Sith isn't going to be quite as luck-based in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, , specifically noting that he still has "dice attacks and the luck components". The attack that is specifically mentioned in the pﷺreview is called "Lucky Roll&qu🙈ot;, which certainly sounds similar to how Dice worked in the original.
"For Cait Sith, we wanted to keep intact the really fun elements from the original, like the dice attacks and the luck components in his battle play; that's shown in Rebirth as well."
It's not mentioned whether Slots will return in any kind of form, but it does seem a little unlikely considering how luck-based it was. Instead, it seems like more emphasis is placed on Cait Sith's ability to summon a Moogle that can either act as an AI companion or be ridden by Cait Sith for unique attacks. Either way, it seems like the controversial cat is going to be a bit more balanced and useable in Rebirth than he was in the original game.
