It's quite obvious that PlayStationSize has access to the backend of the PlayStation store, since they've been so reliable in revealing file sizes for years. If they've claimed that a Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth demo is coming, chances are that it's recently been added to the PlayStation Store and the company is waiting for the announcement during the special Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth State of Play to push it out and make it accessible.
If you were one of many extr🌊emely excited about Final Fantasy 7 Remake back in 2020, you may recall it also had a demo release shortly before launch, so another for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth makes a lot of sense.
As for what this demo could possibly entail, it seems fairly likely that it will be the portion of the game that has Cloud fighting alongside Sephiroth on their journey through Mt. Nibel, seeing as though it would be a good section to generate excitement and has already been played by the press for preview purposes. That is just speculation though, and it's possible that whatever's shown during next week's State of Play could actually be the demo itself. We'll have to wait and see.
