Leveling up is a party in Final Fantasy 7ꦫ Rebirth.

In fact, each of the game’s four regions grants you access to a different coloured bird with its own colours and abilities. You can even assign outfits to each one, ༒making sure their rizz is appropriate to the locale. Here’s how to recruit every Chocobo in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

How To Catch The Grasslands Chocobo

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth - Grasslands Chocobo

The majority of Chocobo quests in Rebirth are basically brief stealth selections where you must avoid generic yellow chocobos while moving toꦅwards your desired target.

This might involve hiding in tall grass, moving minecarts, or finding the optimal route around irksome obst💞acles before mounting your target.

Your first challenge awaits in the Grasslands, and is thankfully a simplistic sequence tied into the main quest as you arrive at Bill’s Chocobo Ranch.

Once you arrive, head into the barn and speak with Billy and his sister Chloe to set the quest in motion and obtain some greens needed to win over yo✱ur future mount.

You’ll need to fight a few enemies on the way, but upon arriving in a field populated by a patch of yellow flowers, a brief dialogue exchange 🌠🤡will indicate you’re where you need to be.

Cloud will automatically get into a crouched stance for stealthing around, which also lets him roll a short distance. Now, stay in the yellow flower patches and slowly make your way over to Piko on the other side of the field.

The regu🐻lar chocobos will turn around at set intervals, s🎃o time your movements and roll with their routines to avoid being caught.

Once you reach the final flower patch, pick up a rock situated just before it begins and throw it behind Piko. He will turn around long enough for you to hop on his bac𒁃k and tame him. There you have it, say hello to your very first Chocobo.

How To Catch The Junon Chocobo

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth - Junon Chocobo

The Junon Chocobo is once again obta𓆉ined through a mandatory stealth sequence, but this time around the bird is a moody grey colour.

After giving the ranch owner an earful about his neglect of his Chocobos, Aerith encourages Cloud to head on over to an abandoned railway depot where a number of birds have taken up roots.

Instead of sneaking through flowers this time around, you will instead be hiding behind a mixture of moving carts and similar piles of debris.

Timing is much more important this time around,𒉰 so have patienc🅷e and you’ll be fine.

Approach the first cart and pull the switch, then rem🌺ain crouched behind it and out of sight. Once you reach the other side, pull the switch that greets you to bring the second cart over as it pulls in front of two more awaiting Chocobos.

You will then need to pull the switch once again as the cart comes to a stop, but this time with a rock from afar, so you aren’t noticed as you roll between each obstacle. Then get right up behind it and follow it along to avoid the suspicion of each bird.

After reaching the end of the line, head through the tall grass while picking up a few rocks, which will be needed to hit another switch a few metres away to get the next cart rolling. Just like before, follow the track along and avoid attention by hiding behind the cart.

You’ll need to switch sides after turning the bend, however, which 🌳is easy to pull off, but keep an eye oಞn where the Chocobo is looking at all times.

As you approach the final bend, roll into the tall grass until the cart begins its final stretch and dive behind it before shifting to the right-hand side. This will put you directly beh🎃ind Bella allowing you to jump on her back when you get close enough. With that, she’s yours.

How To Catch The Corel Chocobo

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth - Corel Chocobo

The Corel Region is less focused on riding chocobos than other regions in Rebirth, because after leaving the Gold Saucer you will be gifted with a sick red buggy to navigate the desert landscape.

Instead of fini🥀shing a minigame, you need to purchase a rental pass from stables located just outside Costa Del Sol.

Simply approach the desk after arriving in Costa Del Sol and purchase an item known as a Chocobo Rental Pass and you🉐 will then be able to summon a Chocobo in the Corel region.

You won’t be able to hop aboard it and explore until you have completed all the required𒀰 story quests in the holiday resort, so keep that in mind.

How To Catch The Gongaga Chocobo

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth - Gongaga Chocobo

Much like the Corel Chocobo before it, the Gongaga Chocobo is given to you as part of the narrative instead of a sudden stealth sequence.

After realising something has gone wrong over at 🌱the Reactor, Aerith, Tifa, and Yuffie are given ownership of the birds, so they don’t waste any time reaching their friends. So don’t worry about needing to pul🏅l your weight here.

How To Catch The Cosmo Canyon Chocobo

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth - Cosmo Canyon Chocobo

Mine carts are once again the name of the game 🎃in order to get your hands on flying anime bird variants. You will find them tucked away in a corner of the hope lo🎐itering around a load of abandoned tracks.

But on some of these carts you will need to move yourself in time with a motley crew of birds who are constantly adjusting their fields of vision.

Get caught, and you have to restart from eit🥂her the beginning or a checkpoint.

Get up behind the first cart and start pushing it, alternating between hiding behind the cart and moving it forward as the Chocobo turns around. Its timing window is pretty generous, so you should be able🌜 to make it most of the way there without t🌺aking a break.

Alternatively, you can pull the cart from the opposite side after achieving a certain distance to ensure the ꧃Chocobo no longer sees 💮you at all.

Push the cart past the storage bin and towards the lever, then hide behind the cart and pull the lever in order to change the direction of the tracks, so you can take the cart even further.

I’d be careful and once again hide if you need to during this puzzle though, otherwise you’ll be spotted and sent right back to the beginning💜.

Continue pushing the cart along the tracks until you come across a pile of rocks. Pick some of them up, and throw them to distract the nearest yellow chocobo, so you can roll over to pull a lever and change the track direction a second time.

Finally, pick up more rocks if you need to and begin moving the cart down the final rail of track, stopping the cart just before the last yellow Chocobඣo and ahead of Aponi, as you’ll need to distract them both before going in for the kill.

Wait until she’s not looking, and ꦓthen hop on back to claim your new blue steed.

How To Catch The Nibelheim Chocobo

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth - Nibelheim Chocobo

To catch Nibelheim’s chocobo, which can fly high above bodies of water using a cool liquid jet, you will partake in an escort mission instead of a stealth sequence.

Upon arriving at the location, you will notice a couple of dormant yellow Chocobos standing next to what ♕appear to be a bunch of inflatable cactus blocking your path.

Quickly head up the cliff and follow the path and start collecting chocobo bait which will soon be required for luring🍒 Selena over to the en🤡trance.

Once you have enough, begin yeeting the bait close to Selena’s location, soꦏ she will eat t🧸he good stuff and begin moving toward the entrance.

The only surefire route to success in c๊atching this Chocobo is patience, so don’t worry about making mistakes or having Selena ꦰrush back to a previous point if a cactus inflates suddenly. She will need to take three instances of damage before you’re forced to restart regardless.

Tracks on the ground indicate a preferred path for the bird to walk, but so long as you avoid the inflatable cactus design෴ed to stall your progress, you should be fine.

Once she is safely within the confines of the long grass, head back down the path and claim💃 her.
