Aerith ෴Needs To Die In Final Fantasy 7🤡 Rebirth
The story just won't be the same if the beloved flower girl doesn't kick the buckeও🍃t.
Beyond confirming that a demo is going to be releasꦚed at so🎶me point later today and seemingl🔯y hinting that Aerith might survive her encounter with Sep🦂hiroth at the Forgotten Capital after all, the State of Play also gave us an interesting update on Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth's status as a PS5 exclusive.
, a screen popped up and revealed that it'll only be exclusive to the PS5 until "at least" May 29 of this year. That means that Rebirth is potentially only going to be a PS5 exclusive for three months and could be hitting other platforms before 2024 is over.
Although Rebirth's PS5 exclusivity is ending a lot sooner than Remake's originally did after it launched on PS4 in 2020, it's very unlikely that the game is going to be released on other platforms in just a few months and is more of a sign that Rebirth can leave the PS5 by that point.
Anyone expecting the game to hit Xbox might want to think again, as Final Fantasy 7 Remake still hasn't arrived on those consoles despite being several years old now. Instead, it seems likelier that we'll see the game hit PC first.
It's also worth noting that Final Fantasy 16, which also started off as a PS5 exclusive, was also recent🐻ly confirmedꦅ to be coming to PC at some point this year.
Although most of the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth State of Play was kept as a surprise, there was one major part of it that managed to get spoiled long before the showcase took place - the shadow-dropped demo. Although this was already hinted at by insiders for the last State of Play and predicted by fans long before tonight's showcase, , only confirming everyone's suspicions.
