10 Remake: The Combat
The most noticeable difference in the game is the switch from𒁏 turn-based combat to action. Imagine playing the remake with the same slow waiting. Turn-based battles can still be good, just look at Persona 5.

9 PS1: Limit Breaks
One aspect of the battle system that wasn’t appreciated by all was how 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Limit Breaks were handled. In the original game they stacked over time and the meters, even if filled, would carry over until used. That is no l꧅onger the case in this game.
The meter can potentially fill faster, but not for normal battles so in es🍸sence they aren’t in the game🉐 as much.
8 Remake: Corneo Colosseum
The Battle Square at Gold Saucer was kind of a rip. Players had to fight consecutive battles in order to get points to then eventually score some꧑ of the game’s best like Omnislash and W-Summon.🔯
Players couldn’t leave the coliseum or else points would be null and void. Basically it took a long time even with luck. The matches in Wall Market go by much faster and are nice bite-sized nuggets of challenge. If Gold Saucer is in the next game, hopefully Battle Squa🎀re is more like this.
7 PS1: Sephiroth’s Reveal
There is a reason why Se🐠phiroth was so revered in the original game. He was built up beautifully. In the original he was mentioned but never seen until Cloud’s backstory in Kalm. Waking up in the Shinra prison and following a t๊rail of blood up to President Shinra’s corpse was a tense moment which built the suspense.
Another great act was seeing the Midgar Zolom strung up🦋. Sephiroth didn’t fully appear until after that on the Junon ship. Now he’s just all over the place in the remake.
6 Remake: The Music
Fans still appreciate the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:music of the original game. Even though it isn’t orchestrated every trac♏k still holds up.
However, the remake makes the music better by not only synthesizing it from midi arrangements to orchestrated works of art but was also made dynami🍸c. The way it changes from outside and inside of battles is amazing along with how several melodies can be linke🌺d together.
5 PS1: All Materia
There are two pieces of Materia missing in the game that were previously available in Midgar. Cover, which, who cares? It was never a fan favorite. All, however, wereextremely useful. The fact that it isn’t in the game at all nor was it replaced by some sor𒊎t of other ability is a real shame. Being able to cast Fire on all enemies, or Cure on all allies was a big boost to the battle system which is lacking from the remake.
4 Remake: Motorcycle Chase
This remake not only adds two bike chases, but it makes both of them dynamic. They are more fun to play and to watch as a spectacle. The earlier one involving Cloud taking on Jessie’s mission and going꧑ against Roche was a fun romp, that one felt over the top. That is until the final chase scene debuted. That escape from Shinra HQ will asꦜsuredly get the blood pumping for any fan.
3 PS1: Shinra HQ
Speaking of Shinra HQ, overall the original design was better. True, there were newer sections that were appreciated like the museum an🔯d Mayor Domino🗹’s library, but some of the new stuff tended to drag on.
For൲ example, Hojo’s lab killed the momentum that built up moments before. As it was said earlier, going from the prison to a bloody hallway was a good way to raise tension. Replacing that with the lab section did the opposite.
2 Remake: The Characters
The PS1 game was a slow build of character 🐻development. It had a whole game to do so so some characters weren’t dived too deeply into in Midgar.
Some weren’t explored at all like the other 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:AVALANCHE members. The remake not only brings justi🎃ce to those three, but intꦉroduces new aspects to of the main cast as well.
1 PS1: A Full Game
It may be unfair to say this, but it remains true. The absolute best thing about the original game is that is was a complete adventure. It was one game brimming with content. True, Midgar was expanded and fully fleshed out to make it feel like its ඣown thing.
Even with filler it felt good to get to know things better. Still, not knowing how many parts th💦is 🍰collection will be can be frustrating to diehard fans. This was not the original promise.
