The canon of Final Fantasy 7 is getting murky. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy 7 Remake released last year, and infamously changed significant parts of the canon, stuff we'll attempt to briefly break down here. The most curious part of the puzzle is that it seems like the extended Final Fantasy 7 canon, expanded in Dirge of Cerberus, Crisis Core, and Advent Children, is now being wrapped back into thꦫis new main s🧔tory.#

Things are now getting pretty complex, and it's tough to weigh up what's going on in the current story, and how that relates to the expanded universe, especially now that Yuffie's Intermission DLC has introduced Nero and mentioned Weiss, eve🌃n if he doesn't actually feature in a canon capacity.

In this guide we're going to be explaining everything you need to know to understand what's happeni🔯ng in the Intermission DLC without having to actually play or watch the extra games and universe which now seem to be canon. Read on below for the breakdown of Deepground and Dirge of Cerberus you need. There will be major spoilers ahead for all of the Final Fantasy 7 canon, so do not read below until you've finished Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Yuffie's Intermission DLC at least.

What Is Deepground In Final Fantasy 7 Remake?

Weiss from Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade

Deepground is a secret military force which are found - wait for it - deep underground. Below the main Shinra Electric Power Company HQ you can find Deepground, who are highly armed, and are eveꦰn housing a few devastating monsters.

Deepground produced some truly terrifying soldiers, which prompted the formation of the Lost Force, the 14th unit of SOLDIER. Eventually, those sent into Deepground never emerged again, and chꦑildren were even born in the unit, immediately being tur♐ned into warriors or weapons.

During Final Fantasy 7 Remake, we see Deepground when♔ saving Wedge after he falls into a mysterious lab, a𒁃nd the team fight off a Behemoth that was imprisoned here.

Who Are Nero And Weiss In Final Fantasy 7 Remake?

Nero from Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade

This is a bit more complicated, but essentially, Nero and Weis🍌s are biological brothers. Weiss has been given enhanced abilities thanks to the Mako experiments that have been carried out on people in Deepground. They trained for years, becoming incredi🏅bly powerful and fearsome.

We won't get all the way into what happens to them during Crisis Core and Dirge of Cerberus - and to be honest, there's way too much to cover there anyway, including mind control - but what you essentially need to know is that Nero and Weiss became highly regarded in Deepground, and only ever were let loose to eliminate threats and acq🍒uire items for the Shinra Company.

When it comes to Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Nero and Weiss do not appear in the main game, but Nero does end up being the final boss of the Intermission DLC. Yuffie and Sonon fight Nero after causing havoc throughout the underground lab in search of materia. Nero is shown to be utterly devastating, and while the team "wins" the fight, o🃏nly Yuffie manages to escape, foreshadowing something potentially happening with Sonon and Deepground in the future.

Weiss does appear as a VR simulation fight in the main game after f🅺i🦹nishing the Intermission DLC,

Ultimately, the w🦹ider FF7 canon is definitely being brought in to fill out the world in Final Fantasy 7 Remake, but whether or not the full Dirge of Cerberus and Crisis Core storylines are actually canon seems to be up in the air. Still, fans of the series that have actually gone out their way to play these games in the past will find a lot to love in Final Fantasy 7 Remake going forward.
