had the unenviable task of bringing back the beloved Gold Saucer, a hub location from the original Final 🐻Fantasy 7 t🅰hat blew everyone's minds in 1997 with its vast array of mini-games. We say unenviable, because Square Enix knew they had to go bigger this time around - and they did.

Surf's up, it's time to put a pin on Hojo's🐽 beachside antics in FFVII Rebirth💦.

In this guide, we'll cover every attraction at FF7 Rebirth's Gold Saucer, providing an overview for each, as well as some tips for what to expect and how to prepare 💝accordingly. In future updates, we'll flesh things out even more so, w✨ith more in-depth analysis of every mini-game.

Chocobo Square

Chocobo Square as seen on the way in Gold Saucer in FF7 Rebirth

At the Chocobo Square, Cloud can race the various chocobos the party acquires throughout the world in competitive matches on a multitude of tracks. In classic FF7, there was a 'short' track and a 'long' track; in Rebirth, there's far more variety.

The accessories that you purchase at Chocoboutiques become their very own gameplay mechanic here. Each accessory has stats and a special skill, and deciding what to have your chocobo wear is half the prep work.

You can trade Chocobo Feathers for Chocoboutique accessories at any Chocobo Ranch or ranch-like area throughout Gaia.

In Chapter 12, you can commit to an excellent side quest called 'Gold Cup or Bust', which see𝓰s Cloud participate in some seriously tough races.

Wonderment Square

Wonderment Square plays host to several mini-games. As with most Gold Saucer squares, all the mini-games here gain further content in Chapter 12.

Mini-Game

Description

Estimated Time Commitment

G-Bike

A motorcycle action game modeled after Cloud's motorcycle-bound antics near the end of Remake.

One hour 𒅌(30 minutes or so in Chapter 9; 30 minutes more in Chapter 12)

Queen's Blood

Themed challenges for the popular card game somewhat reminiscent of the Card Festival at Costa del Sol.

Two hours (an hour or so in each chapter, though it might take more or less time depending on your skill with QB).

3D Brawler

Increasingly tough 3D fighting game centered on QTEs and reading the enemy's moves.

One hour (it only takes a few minutes to beat each bout, including tไhe one in Chapter 9 and the rest in Chapter 12,

but the latter ones can take a while to acclimate to. Especially Sephiroth's.

Battle Square

Battle Square's Two-Person Bouts in FF7 Rebirth

The Battle Square is like a souped-up (and more environmentally interesting) Combat Simulator. Some fights have firm restrictions that can increase their challenge factor.

Some of the toughest battles in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth can be found here once it opens up more in Chapter 12.

What makes the Battle Square so nifty, however, is that some fights are 'Two-Person Bouts', while others are 'Six-Person Bouts'. The former is self-explanatory; the 'Six-Person Bouts' involve two teams of three. It's a cool way to test your skill with most of the party all at once.

Ghost Square

The spooky Ghost Square is where the party crashes for the night in Chapter 8, but you can return here later on. There's not much more to see here, but if you progress fairly far into the Queen's Blood storyline, things will get mighty interesting for a bit.

Your opponent will be critical to the Queen's Blood storyline. From there, things get downright wild. It makes this eerie inn all♈ the more memorable.

Event Square

Upon the party's first visit in Chapter 8, the Event Square will be a short and somber affair. There won't be much of an event to speak of at this time.

But come Chapter 12, goodness gracious, how that changes. During the fantastic date sequence, the team puts on a performance of Loveless. It's almost unbelievably good stuff, and we'll have a guide up ASAP on how to ace it.

Speed Square

Galactic Saviors in FF7 Rebirth

Speed Square was a gondola shoot-em-up in the PlayStation original FF7, and many expected a repeat of this in Rebirth. But wouldn't you know it; Speed Square is now the home of the Galactic Saviors mini-game.

The core shoot-em-up aspect remains intact, but now it takes place in space with faster-paced 'shmup' goodness. Chapter 12 adds more challenging versions to enjoy - or despair, if you're not having a ൲great time with Galactic Saviors.

Skywheel Square

Cloud and Aerith at the Gold Saucer

Skywheel Square features that aforementioned gondola. (In the original game, this was called Round Square, which, weird.) You can't ride the gondola in Chapter 8, and it will remain closed until you obtain a ticket in Chapter 12.

Skywheel Square features heavily in the date sequence in Chapter 12. O💯ther than that, there's not much to say, but it earns its keep at that point.

Getting Gold Saucer Points

Save Crystal Curio at the GP Exchange in the Gold Saucer in FF7 Rebirth

At the Gold Saucer, Gold Saucer Points - or 'GP' - is acquired for participating in mini-games throughout the amusement park. Each square has its own list of items, and every square's items to obtain increases in Chapter 12.

You can, however, spend GP on any square's stock of rewards. You can do so at any prize kiosk, so you 𝕴don't need to lug yourself back to, say, Wonderment Square to buy Wonderment Square rewards.

GP prizes include curios to bring to Johnny for his hotel after the completion of 'The Saga of Seaside Inn' side quest, as well as healing items, Materia, and (best of all) character manuscripts for the folio board.
