It's been nearly four years since launched on PlayStation 4, and according to Windows Central managing editor Jez Corden, it might finally be on its way to Xbox.

Xbox head Phil Spencer has discussed this possibility in the past. Last August, he said that he and Square had conversations in Tokyo, discussing the company's commitment to Xbox. "You'll hear more," Spencer said in an interview with . "I'm not going to push them. They're going to have to find their own rhythm. But having them make a commitment to Xbox was really important both to me and to the community as well."

If Corden is right and Sony and Square want to avoid stealing the spotlight from Rebirth, it might be a while before we hear about Final Fantasy 7 Remake on Xbox, especially if it's still in the discussion phase. Interestingly, however, Crisis Core Reunion is already available on Xbox, the remastered spin-off that sets up Zack's story for Rebirth.
Final Fantasy 16 also skipped Xbox, launching exclusively ಌon PlayStati𒅌on 5. It is, however, coming to PC.
While Microsoft is trying to bring more Square Enix games to its platform, it's reportedly open to porting its exclusives to other consoles. We've seen both Xbox and PlayStation branch out to PC in recent years, but there are rumours that Hi-Fi Rush is coming to Nintendo Switch. To boot, Mic൩rosoft iౠs reportedly "exploring" the possibility of porting older games to other platforms.
