10 Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII (83)
Crisis Core is the best spinoff in the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy VII compilation series. It’s an unsung RPG on the PSP that would be amazing to see implemented in some form in one of the sequels for the Final Fantasy VII remake.
It is a prequel which, yes as most preque🌟ls do, muddies the waters by adding c🥂haracters that make sense on why they aren't mentioned in the original. That said, Zack is an incredibly likable protagonist and getting to know his backstory was worth it all.
9 Final Fantasy X-2 (85)
When Final Fantasy X-2 was announced, it felt like an elaborate April Fools' joke. Yuna has guns now? What is she, Lara Croft? Well, it turns out the joke was real and despite the girly tone of the game, there is a deep, hardcore RPG that m🌺akes the original look like a൩ game by comparison.
The job system, usi🐎ng Dress 𓂃Spheres, is especially elaborate and addictive to tinker around with. On the downside it ruined Blitzball.
8 Final Fantasy XI (85)
The fact that the eleventh main entry in Final Fantasy was an MMO was shocking. Should it have just been called Final Fantasy Online instead? Yes, that would have made more sense.
Names games aside, it was a decen𝄹t take on MMOs while keeping true to its roots. By today’s standards🅺, it is pretty archaic in that it doesn’t respect a player’s time, but that note aside, it was also deeply rewarding for those invested.
7 Final Fantasy XIV Online: A Realm Reborn (86)
Speaking of MMOs, Final Fantasy XIV Online: A Realm Reborn comes in close with an 86. Its initial launch was disastrous beyond belief, but this reboot serves as a much better spectacle for both that original version and its predecessor, Final Fantasy XI.
Things were streamlined to make everything easier for both PC and console players. And as we mentioned🌟 in the intro, the expansions just keep making this game better and better.
6 Final Fantasy Tactics Advance (87)
Technically the original game ranks above this. Not only in our opinion, but on Metacritic as well, but it is for the PSP re-release. Can one bel♔ieve that the original PS1 version is ranked at an 83? That is crazy.
🉐While this sequel lacks the grim and mature story of the original, and the Judges were annoying to deal with, the core gameplay holds up as another addicting tread through tactical battlefields filled with tons of jobs to master.
5 Final Fantasy VIII (90)
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy VIII is kind of the black sheep of the family right alongside Final Fantasy II. The story geꦅts really bizarre at the end, full of plo♛t holes that would make the Grand Canyon blush. Squall is also a hard protagonist to follow. Plus the magic system is pretty garbage.
It tried to do something different, rubbed some the wrong way, and while we wouldn’t put it in our top ten, it isn’t a bad game either. Far from it. It’s unique, but stღill, Final Fantasy and any one of these games are g🌟oing to be satisfying in some regard.

No matter what this list indicates by the numbers, Final Fantasy VII is the most popular by far, or at the very least the most renowned. It turned many gamers into RPG fans thanks to the slick ✱marketing, showing CG cutscenes to promote this game like no other.
It was a push forward in gaming and the more mature story didn’t hurt either. It is exactly why mov🐓ies, books, and spinoffs were made due to fan outcry. And lest we forget the impending remake. The polygons are chunky now, but it remains a classic.
3 Final Fantasy XII (92)
Tied up right alongside that, we have Final Fantasy XII. It borrows a lot from Final Fantasy XI in terms of its auto-battle combat and rich, open environments filled with monsters. It also has a lot in common with the Final Fantasy Tactics universe of Ivalice.
It took a long time to come out due to directorial changes and like its pr🌊edecessor it was very different for the brand. That’s what makes this series so great though: the constant sense of renovati𝄹on.
2 Final Fantasy X (92)
Final Fantasy X is also tied at 92. This was as big a leap forward to the franchise as was Final Fantasy VII. It took the ser😼ies into full 3D complete with voice acting for the first time.
The graphics were also amazing and in some cases, it was hard to tell what was in-game and what was CG. Plus let’s not forget about the best mini-game of all time: Blitzball. Where is that spinoff, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Square Enix?
1 Final Fantasy IX (94)
And at number one we have a fitting tribute to the franchise. Final Fantasy VI through Final Fantasy VIII were all leaning towards the tech-hea✅vy side of RPGs, getting away from the more classic idea the sꦐeries.
This retread back into that territory then was one last hurrah for the PS1 generation, and what a send-off it was. The two MMOs are close in tone, but we would like to see this done again in a single-player experience. We are crossing our fingers that that is what Final Fantasy XVI will turn into.
