168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy VII became a knockout hit for the PS1 as well as the actual developer of it, which was still just SquareSoft at the time. So, how does one follow up a game like that to meet an even bigger set of praise? It was kind of an impossible task, and there is a lot of debate on the merits of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy VIII.
Is it bad or is it secretly the best in the series? Fans can argue about each game’s specialties all day but what about a simpler debate involving the two main stars? Is there a way toജ quantify which of them is cool between Cloud and Squall?
9 Hair: Cloud 𝕴
Squall’s emo like haircut fits his brooding mood. It’s fine, but very plain. Cloud basically has Goku’s hair from Dragon Ball Z and is more fitting for a lead character. The stranger someone’s hair is in a Japanese game, the more important they become. That’s noꦏt 𝓰a hardest rule to live by, but it’s a funny enough observation to say the least. He who has the hair wins, or something like that.
8 🌺 Weapon: Squall 𝔍
Cloud’s Buster Sword is very iconic to Final Fantasy VII. It’s practically a gian🌸t slab of metal and Cloud being able to wield the thing seems improbable. The same goes for Squall’s Gunblade. It may be smaller than Cloud’s but a gun attached to a sword is a more ridiculous invention which in turn makes it more memorable. These things do, or at least did, exist in real life so it’s not too far off from reality though. That doesn’t mean they worked well especially compared to how well Squall wields his.
7 🎉 Victory Pose: Cloud 🦩
Squall’s victory pose makes him look like he is shaking blood off of his blade angrily before propping it up on his shoulder. It’s not a bad pose, but comparing that to Cloud makes it look lame. Cloud twirling his blade around in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy VII before clicking it back𒁏 onto his back, especially with the size of the Buster🔜 Sword, is a more fun sight to see. In turn, the game’s victory music is better as well.
6 Clothඣes: Squall
Cloud’s purple and blue attire makes it look like he is wearing a jumpsuit. It’s not bad, but it’s not that cool either but that could be blamed on the limitat✅ions of the PS1.
That said, even the remake’s design isn’t that thrilling. The Advent Children attire on the other hand is pretty boss. Anyway, the point is Squall’s leather, frilly coat alone makes his costume better 🀅let alone that sweet necklace.
5 ✨ Theme Song: Cloud 🤪
Every Final Fantasy game has a terrific soundtrack, with some of the best music in the RPG genre to date. Most of them had themes for every character but there are exceptions like Final Fantasy VIII for whatever reason. Squ🌸all then doesn’t 🌸technically have his own theme compared to Cloud although The Oath is probably the closest thing. It’s a good song, but it’s not as good as Cloud’s which coincidentally is also the main theme of his game.
4 Tha🐷t Sweet Scar:ꦇ Squall
Cloud has the hair category won, but there is something else about Squall’s head that can get him a victory⛎. It’s the scar he gets in the fight with Seifer. Scars are just plain cool in video games even if they would suck to have in real life which is to say that thing assuredly hurts. It probably doesn’t hurt as much as Cloud’s head𓃲 does from all of his Mako poisoning but either way the scar is a cool character trait for Squall in the game.
3 Limit Brea🐠ks: Cloud 🤡
The term Limit Break was created for Final Fantasy VII. Games had abilities like this before, and since, but this became the colloquial term engulfing the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:entirety of Final Fantasy. Cloud has seven different forms, all of⭕ which beat Squall’s more limited number of Renzokuken techniques. The only one that comes close to being anything special is his Lion Heart although it’s nothing compared to Omnislash which it basically copied anyway.
2 𒆙 Personalit☂y: Cloud
Both characters start out as stoic,𓃲 stone faced soldiers. Both also warm up through time, but Cloud definitely melts faster. This is especially true in the remake. He’s even funny with some of the best lines in the game.
That’s not really fair to Squall since his game hasn’t had a remake yet. Maybe he would be cooler in it if the game does ever get one. His Leon persona in Kingdom Hearts is admittedly leagues better than his personality in Final Fantasy VIII so that’s ꦕsomething to take aw🦩ay.
1 Verdict: Cloud 🍒
Both characters have their strengths but it is undeniable that Cloud is the better character. It all comes down to preference though especially tied to one’s enjoyment of whatever Final Fantasy they like the most and or started out with. That’s not to say someone who loves Final Fantasy VII can’t like Squall more. It’s just that there is nostalgia involved and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy VII overall just 🅰has mo🌺re recognition in the series. That may not be a good thing, but again, it is an undeniable fact.
